Working on a new clay with high kaolin content has been such a challenge. It has very little elasticity and cracks appear easily.

Decided to challenge myself with making this coil pot I have been wanting to make. This is version two - first one cracked and collapsed halfway through.

Lets Just hope it dries fine without cracking at all the joints.

Recently brought this chawan I made home. The colours are lovely but it seems the glaze surface came out bumpy.

Decided to try using it around the house to see how the size and feel works out.

Had some tomatoes I decided to snack on, and when I tossed them in this chawan, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the colours pop! 😍

I love how this has somehow alleviated my snacking experience. Definitely gonna try may more pieces in this clay and glaze combination!

One of the first few pieces I handbuilt in Melbourne. As I only have limited tools, having left most of my usual tools for texture making, I was "forced" to explore with what I had on hand.

This came out nicer than I expected. I think I shall try this again another time. The list of things I need to try again and evolve on seem to be piling up. Haha...

For this month, the bulk of my time will be spent teaching and learning on a course. I am excited!

Espresso cup.

I initially contemplated scrapping this piece as I was not totally pleased with the handle.

After a conversation with someone on accepting slight imperfection, I decided to see if I could add interesting nuance to its form.

I really like how this turned out.
