Another masterpiece gone just like that😭

Even commissioned and approved projects are not safe from internal miscomms😖

Why is it so hard to just ask: “Are you sure?” or “Can double confirm?” if you are tasked to do something that feels off..

Lesson learnt on my end?

Come back the next day after the mural is completed to take photo and videos😮‍💨

This year’s edition of Walk for Good: (re)Discovering Marine Parade was not about the attention to my brand nor recognition, it was simply about giving back to the community.

I revitalised for FREE even though I could not get any sponsors.

I didn’t need a follow or shoutout on social media.

The smiles of the participants was more than enough.

I’m blessed that I can be a prominent pillar in Marine Parade’s art scene😙

Knowing that I make a visible difference..

Inspiring others through my conversations..

A follow or shoutout can never beat this feeling🙃

10y/o me would have never imagined 24y/o him doing art full time🥹

He would have thought I would be a professional golfer or doctor😅

It’s disappointing to know that “Everyone is an artist until rent is due.”😢

How many people would have been revolutionary artists, musicians or inventors but gave it up because of finances?

I hope to keep doing what I do by making this a full-time career💪🏻

What a privilege to race with the pros and (not so) amateur athletes from all around the world😊

For the first time in my life, I said the words: “Hotel booking for Marcus Pang”.

All expenses paid, mom was just there to enjoy the vacation and support me🥹

Ready for action😙

Unfortunately, the swim was cut short to 1km due to strong currents.

But as an ex-water polo player, I knew I would have no trouble🙂‍↔️ (foreshadowing)

Ate 💩(sand) at the last 100m of the swim.

Waves were just NO GO that day🙅🏻‍♂️

But I adapted well by swimming backstroke😛

Surprisingly, my swim was a 2:01/100m despite the turbulent waves🫪

Swam backstroke I think 40% of the course as I just could not keep my freestyle rhythm.

Heart rate only spiked when I got washed up by a wave and panicked because I could not surface for 10s before another wave hit😓

Decided to walk to T1 to calm myself down before hopping onto the bike.

Bike ride was wonderful, I kinda forgot I was racing😅

But when I dismounted and started running with my bike to T2, I knew something was wrong.

There was a sharp pain in my right foot.

To my horror..🫣

My right foot was swollen and I was struggling to put my right shoe on.

Thankfully, a staff handed me 2 packs of ice to help ease the swelling.

I think I spent 5 extra minutes at T2 to ice my foot before deciding to push on💪🏻

Started off slow at 6:20/km to see if the pain from my swollen foot subsided.

Thankfully, at KM3, it did!

And I slowly picked up the pace to 5:40/km and subsequently 5:15/km on the second half of the run.

Even had plenty of energy left in the tank to go 4:40/km in the last 2km🔥

Call Security🚨

Call the Police👮🏻‍♀️

Call yo’ Mama👩🏼

I used to trace my character from JaidenAnimations

I’m coming clean not because I got exposed..

No, the Phantom Thieves did not change my heart😅

I simply want to be accountable.

When I left my stable job at my family’s then 39 year old hawker stall turned cafe to do power washing art full time around this time last year, I had no prior arts background to fall upon.

I HATED art growing up, never ever doodled on my homework.

I’d rather burn it😂

I pursued a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences and played sports like Golf and Water Polo competitively my entire childhood into young adulthood.

I run marathons and do triathlons now.

But I had 1 year to make this work before my finances were zero..

On social media, everyone was copying the “best” viral hook or a “blueprint” creator who has made it to grow their account.

I personally followed that mentality when I started this account in July 2025.

I decided to take shortcuts by “copying” a larger creator’s work to fast track my growth.

I looked at people like PowerWashingArt for inspiration..

I even copied 1 or 2 of his artworks to hone my craft early into my career😗

Naturally, I turned to Jaiden Animations as I watched almost all her videos during my childhood.

As I hit 10,000 followers last month and strive for 100,000 followers next, I reflected on the word “creativity”.

Look at , , “Positive Affirmation Hopscotch”, “Heart of Marine Parade”..

These were all my original ideas and in my opinion, my best works. My MOST creative works.

I’m no better than those people who use AI to generate art if I copy someone’s artwork.

There is no soul and passion behind the piece.

God used me to show what someone with no prior artistic background can achieve in 365 days as long as you serve him faithfully.

Commissioned by Singapore Art Week, double media features, divine protection, etc.

I wanted change in my community and God used me to be the change.

Now, it’s time go a step farther to Greater Glory💪🏻

I’ve put this aside for FAR too long..

My first commission with a big local brand was a Dumpster Fire💩🔥

Let me tell you about it 9 months later:

I arrived at the bus interchange and to my horror..🫪

The contractors washed off 1/4 of my canvas, forcing me to edit the proposed design on the fly.

Nowadays, if this were to happen, I would reschedule.

But I was publicised for the event and could not back out.

I spent 30mins redrawing certain elements, CRISIS AVERTED😙

I then spend 3 hours sketching the piece.

Break for lunch.

Came back and started power washing for 30mins.

Got stopped by the safety officer as I was not wearing goggles and gloves while handling my power washer.

Tried negotiating with them not to wear it as they impaired my ability to perform. FAILED😩

Spent 90mins heading to nearby malls to get the equipment.

It was 4.30pm at this point, no biggie just focus.

5.30pm: my power washer runs out of gasoline, I drive to the petrol kiosk to top it up.

6pm: I start power washing again.

Keep in mind, I was supposed to cut at 6pm🥲

15mins later, I call the project manager as I’m having a hard time proceeding with the last quarter of the piece as the concrete contrast is very light.

We meet up, and I consider scrapping the piece altogether - refunding the client entirely.

Eventually, we decided to soldier on.

I then spend the next 2.5 hours power washing bit by bit, ensuring that I didn’t mess up the last 25% of the art piece.

COMPLETED🎉🫩

9pm: I pack up, order dinner from Grab Food and leave for the day🫠

Looking back, I didn’t know what I was doing and thankfully I only charged them less than $1,###🫣

Any more, and I would have made the news for scamming the brand😂

Thank you Tower Transit Singapore for giving me an opportunity to showcase my skill then.

I remember I had like 2,000 followers then and now I have 14k.

Things have dramatically changes for the better since this project and I hope you give me another shot to showcase my skill👉🏻☺️👈🏻

Unpopular opinion: I’m an artist and I support Singapore’s shift to be an AI hub.

Sure, you’ll see more sloppy AI-generated marketing..

But it makes my medium pop even more😏

In a country full of sloppy AI content, writing and advertisements, stumbling upon something man-made and in an unexpected place will make your brand/ message stand out.

It shows authenticity, it shows boldness.

But more importantly, it shows SOUL.

Something a prompt cannot replicate.

The Standard of marketing has evolved, and power washing art will be undeniable🔥
