As the Singapore Symphony Choruses mark their milestone anniversaries, ๐˜‘๐˜ถ๐˜ฃ๐˜ช๐˜ญรค๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ journeys across time and tradition, culminating in three world premieres by Singaporean composers โ€” each offering a personal reflection of home and identity through choral music.

One of three Singaporean composers commissioned for Jubilรคum: A Celebration of Symphonic Voices, Kelly Tang presents ๐‘ป๐’˜๐’ ๐‘ช๐’‰๐’๐’“๐’‚๐’ ๐‘บ๐’๐’๐’ˆ๐’” written for the Singapore Symphony Choruses, inspired by the vivid imagery and narrative flow of Robert Louis Stevensonโ€™s poetry.

Last week, young musicians from the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and choristers from the Singapore Symphony Choruses came together for a powerful evening of music-making at the Esplanade Concert Hall๐ŸŽถ

Guided by SNYO Music Director Joshua Tan, Choral Director Eudenice Palaruan and Choirmaster Wong Lai Foon, the programme culminated in a radiant performance of 'Mass of the Children' by John Rutter, featuring soloists Kaitlyn Kim (soprano) and Wong Yang Kai (baritone).
