A lot of parents ask us what actually happens once their child is in the room.

The honest answer: it's less about talent and more about guidance. Someone breaking things down patiently, showing instead of just telling, and sticking with a child until it clicks. Add in the friendships that come along the way, and it starts to look like a pretty good way to spend a day.

The SSCC Experience is a chance for your child to try choir for the very first time, no pressure, just making new friends, singing new songs, and learning heaps along the way.

Spots for our first Singapore Symphony Children's Choir (SSCC) Auditions date are filling up fast, so we're adding a second one!

We've had such a great response to our first date that we wanted to give more kids the chance to try out. So now you've got two options: Sunday 27 September or Sunday 4 October.

Auditions are open to children aged 8–14. If your child is 11 or older, they'll need at least a Grade 3 (ABRSM or equivalent) in Music Theory and/or Performance to audition.

Registration closes 18 September, so there's time either way you choose 🎶

That's a wrap on July 🎶

On Sunday, countertenor Zachary Lim sang Music for a While at the Victoria Concert Hall, with the Singapore Symphony Chorus, the Tenors and Basses of the Singapore Symphony Youth Choir, Loraine Muthiah on organ and Boey Jir Shin on harpsichord, under choral director Eudenice Palaruan.

Thank you to everyone who travelled back to Tudor and early Baroque England with us.
