Because whenever I get them at that point in time, I'm certain that it is something that I want, something that I care about, and that desire is very authentic in the moment. I think if you're willing to risk stigma and other negative externalities to satiate your need for art or your own need to express yourself, it does say something about a person. Because of the negative judgements and associations that may be levied against me given my tattoos, the fact that I can often times prove people wrong gives me confidence." - Darren Chye
