Simply Nagomi is co-founded by Irene and Cindy in 2017. They are also certified teachers in many other original Japanese art courses. A. B.

They are certified by Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA) as Advanced Instructors in Pastel Nagomi Art. Since 2017, they have conducted numerous workshops and worked with various organisations to bring PNA to people from all walks of life, including office employees, stroke survivors, volunteers, senior citizens, homemakers and children. They have also trained new instructors in PNA while co

nstantly upgrading their skills further by actively participating in workshops and exhibitions and interacting with fellow Advanced Instructors, both locally and from overseas. They have also participated in Pastel Nagomi Art and other Art exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. Why Simply Nagomi?
“Nagomi” in Japanese Kanji is ‘和’, meaning harmony. Using simple and unique painting techniques, the focus of our workshops is to help our participants discover their creativity and find harmony and relaxation through the process of creating their own beautiful art pieces. The feedback and testimonials from their experiences have been very positive and encouraging. Sharing the lovely artwork from our recent Blooming Jellyfish Club FCAA online workshop. We absolutely loved seeing the different colour combinations chosen by the participants — soft, dreamy, vibrant and refreshing in their own unique ways. The flowing movement of the artwork, paired with the adorable jellyfish motifs, made this session especially calming and enjoyable to paint.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought these graceful underwater blooms to life!

We wrapped up another run of our Adorable Creatures Portrait Workshop – Goofy Hamster yesterday — this time from the comfort of everyone’s homes via Zoom!

Each hamster turned out irresistibly cute, and we absolutely loved how the different colours and patterned backgrounds made every artwork so unique and full of personality.

We’re so happy to wrap up our Adorable Creatures Portrait Workshop featuring the cheeky Goofy Hamster on 29 May at Esty Art Academy Studio.

It was such a fun and fulfilling session as everyone brought their hamsters to life—exploring soft fur textures and capturing those tiny, expressive details. Each artwork turned out uniquely charming, with playful personalities peeking through beautifully blended, colourful backgrounds. We could even tell which hamsters were “male” or “female”! 🤣

So proud of everyone for taking on this detailed piece and growing in your pastel journey. Thank you for creating with us.

Aerial Rose Courses & Aerial Flower Peony Workshop — Online Sessions Added!

Additional online sessions for the Aerial Rose Trial & Advanced Courses and Aerial Flower Peony Workshop (via Zoom) are now open for participants who are unable to attend the onsite classes.

Originally created by Japanese artist Seiko Kunieda, the Aerial Rose Courses are loved for their soft blending techniques, luminous petals and dreamy floral expressions. Through these sessions, participants will learn how to create elegant roses and a peony with beautiful depth, softness and glow using pastels.

Whether you are new to pastel art or looking to deepen your floral painting techniques, these online sessions offer a wonderful opportunity to learn from the comfort of your own home.

Over the past weeks at Bishan Community Club, our Pastel Nagomi Art participants brought the Zen Impressions series to life.

From Gentle Sunshine to Daibutsu, Bamboo Stillness and Lotus Bloom, every artwork is uniquely expressed by each participant’s reflection of calm intention and quiet harmony.
