Simply Nagomi is co-founded by Irene and Cindy in 2017. They are also certified teachers in many other original Japanese art courses. A. B.

They are certified by Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA) as Advanced Instructors in Pastel Nagomi Art. Since 2017, they have conducted numerous workshops and worked with various organisations to bring PNA to people from all walks of life, including office employees, stroke survivors, volunteers, senior citizens, homemakers and children. They have also trained new instructors in PNA while co

nstantly upgrading their skills further by actively participating in workshops and exhibitions and interacting with fellow Advanced Instructors, both locally and from overseas. They have also participated in Pastel Nagomi Art and other Art exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. Why Simply Nagomi?
“Nagomi” in Japanese Kanji is ‘和’, meaning harmony. Using simple and unique painting techniques, the focus of our workshops is to help our participants discover their creativity and find harmony and relaxation through the process of creating their own beautiful art pieces. The feedback and testimonials from their experiences have been very positive and encouraging. Blooming Places — Flower of Crystal Art Exhibition 2026

We are delighted to share that we will be participating in the Flower of Crystal Art exhibition “Blooming Places” in Uchiko, Japan, in October 2026.

It is a special opportunity for us to bring our Flower of Crystal Art creations to Japan. Through our artworks, we are happy to bring a little piece of Singapore to Japan, while coming together with FCA artists from different countries. We look forward to this meaningful exchange of art, cultures and inspirations, and to celebrating the connections that Flower of Crystal Art has created across borders.

Flower of Crystal Art is a beautiful pastel art technique created by Rumi Ishimaru sensei, where colours are gently layered and transformed through light, soft gradients and carefully created motifs.

Sharing the beautiful artworks from our recent Club FCAA online workshop – Flower Sounds, featuring an original design by Rumi Ishimaru, Flower of Crystal Art.

It was wonderful to see how each participant brought their own personality to the artwork through colour. From soft pastels and dreamy blues to vibrant pinks, purples and greens, every piece has its own unique mood and rhythm. The flowing lines, delicate blooms and floating crystal-like Harp made every artwork looks so magical.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and filled our virtual studio with so many beautiful colours!

Wrapped up our Pastel Nagomi Art on Ceramic Coaster series at Bishan Community Club a week ago. It was such a joy watching everyone bring these vibrant and refreshing fruits to life.

Each coaster was painted with soft pastels on ceramic, creating a bright and cheerful artwork that not only adds a happy pop of colour wherever they’re placed, but they are also fully functional as coasters too.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us throughout this series and we look forward to seeing you again soon for our upcoming series.

Our next Moonlit Dreams Pastel Nagomi Art series begins on 13 August, featuring four dreamy night-themed artworks inspired by moonlight, stars and peaceful evenings.

A brand new Pastel Nagomi Art series is coming to Bishan Community Club. Moonlit Dreams is inspired by the quiet beauty of moonlit nights, featuring four unique artworks across August and September - each with its own mood and story.

From dreamy night scenes to Mid-Autumn-inspired pieces, every session invites you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the calming process of creating with pastels. This series also includes two original Japanese design artworks designed - one by Atelier Taku and one arranged version of JPHAA design - adding a meaningful touch to this Pastel Nagomi Art series.

Our second Japanese Original Pastel Art online workshop, At The End Of The Day (original design by Yukari Kitano) has come to a lovely close.

This artwork has many elements to bring together - from the glowing sunset, sparkling sea, flowing curtains to the refreshing cocktails on the wooden deck. Everyone did a such a wonderful job, and each piece has its own unique charm.
At the end of the day, that’s exactly the feeling this artwork brings—a peaceful moment to slow down, unwind and simply enjoy the beauty of the sunset.
