Gajah Gallery is a Singapore based art gallery that explores the diverse concerns of contemporary Southeast Asia through art from the region with a particular emphasis on Indonesian Contemporary. Established in 1996, Gajah Gallery is dedicated to the promotion of Southeast Asian Contemporary Art with a particular emphasis on the Indonesian Contemporary. We exclusively represent leading Indonesian

Contemporary Artist, Nyoman Masriadi, Yunizar and the JENDELA group (Jumaldi Alfi, Handiwirman Saputra, Rudi Mantofani, Yusra Martunus, Yunizar). We have limited our scope of activity as it is our primary mission to gain representation for them before increasing our stable of artist. We are focused on these objectives as we believe that every generation produces a limited number of artists who reinvents the wheel. With growing interest in the recent years, Indonesian contemporary art has seen a marked increase in international collectors. Gajah Gallery's extensive client-base includes private collectors, art consultants, architects and interior designers. Exhibitions are held regularly at the gallery including collaborations with the Singapore Art Museum and the National University of Singapore Museum.

Jane Lee's "A Floral Rhapsody" explores the limitless possibilities between the two and three-dimensional. Through sculptural recreations of flowers and objects in works by artist Jan Van Huysum, Lee deliberately blurs, explores, and expands the notion of what a painting should and can be. By pushing the limits of both her materials and techniques, Lee is able to elevate her work not from the borrowed associations of masterpieces, but the implementation of details that make them uniquely hers.

Step into the works of both Jane Lee and the old masters as they dabble in the harmonious interplay between two and three-dimensional forms. Coming soon to Gajah Gallery Manila.

In pursuit of interweaving nature as both her artistic inspiration and personal philosophy, Fika Ria Santika continues to observe the cycles, growth, transitions, and uncertainties through the proverb "Takambang Jadi Guru" (Nature is an eternal teacher). Allowing her curiosity to roam free, Santika mirrors her unique creative experience through different phases of discovery, allowing different meanings to emerge from a single beginning.

Akin to the works of Santika, the "30 years of Gajah: Many Horizons, One Sky" at Gajah Gallery Yogyakarta represents an ongoing dialogue of exchange between shared histories. While a mutual passion of the arts is shared amidst various artists, the singular story of one artwork represents a larger chronicle as these creatives come together — becoming, transforming, and reimagining the futures they set out for.

Venturing from one timezone to another, Charlie Co builds upon his expansive storytelling with "Time Walker" Fashioned in the feverish, chaotic whimsy of his oeuvre, Co introduces a prodigal puppet reimagined as a travelling businessman. Pulling at the threads of power, capitalism, and the tenuous nature of human agency, he prompts us to ask: who is the player, and who is being played?

The creation of "Time Walker" is the result of a months-long process created in close collaboration with the artisans and technicians of Gajah Gallery's foundry, Yogya Art Lab (YAL). Cast in bronze, the sculpture's pitted and hatched surface retains the soul of Co's fervent painterly strokes, while its towering six-foot scale pushes the boundaries of his practice into new dimensions.
