Today, it has a Principal, a Vice-Principal, 28 highly qualified full-time tutors, over 2000 members and students.

​Developing and sustaining that curriculum has by far been one of the greatest challenges for the Society, but one that has yielded many benefits. It has fostered homegrown talents and created an awareness and understanding of the Indian cultural heritage, which is particularly valuable in the multi-ethnic Singapore.

SIFAS is proud to share that Isabel Joshy, a very talented alumna of SIFAS and disciple of Guru P N Vikas, will be presenting a solo Bharatanatyam performance as part of Yuva Mahotsav 2026 – a celebration of young and talented classical dancers in Singapore. This event is organised by Apsaras Dance Company.

Join in as Isabel shares her passion for Bharatanatyam in an evening of rhythm, expression, and devotion.

SIFAS is delighted to present an exclusive workshop with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award recipient Pandit Ritesh Mishra, a distinguished vocalist of the Banaras Gharana.

The son of Padma Bhushan Pandit Rajan Mishra and nephew of Padma Bhushan Pandit Sajan Mishra, Pandit Ritesh Mishra carries forward a rich legacy of Hindustani classical music. A top-graded artiste of All India Radio, he is known for his soulful renditions, deep understanding of raga, and mastery of vocal techniques.

We were honoured to welcome Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, to our new campus at Middle Road today.

During the visit, Minister Tong toured our classrooms and performance spaces, gaining insights into SIFAS’ vibrant learning environment and the activities that bring our campus to life.

A special highlight of the visit was a performance by our dance gurus, offering a glimpse into the artistic excellence and rich traditions that continue to thrive at SIFAS.

Don't miss DHĀTRĪ – Facets of Mother, a Bharatanatyam presentation featuring mature mothers who are also Bharatanatyam students and alumni of SIFAS.

Through evocative choreography by Guru PN Vikas and a guest performance by SIFAS Guru Geethanathan PK, these multifaceted women portray the many dimensions of motherhood and the mother figures who nurture, guide, and inspire.

As women celebrating the richness of life's many seasons, our dancers are proud to support Project SMILE, a community organisation that conducts regular engagement and well-being programmes for seniors through activities, shared meals, social interaction and community participation across different locations in Singapore. All proceeds from the performance will benefit the charity.

Join us as we celebrate motherhood through dance while connecting hearts and creating joy.
