Simple well-being 😊Gathering Margarita flowers, going for a walk, absorbing sunny vitamin D and beauty for the eyes 🌼🌱

The Margaritas go into the living room to welcome who is on the way from the airport, from his show tour in the Canary Island.

It’s rest time this weekend before we start work recording our next series of flamenco teaching vídeo course on .flamencoonline

Home base in Sevilla. When I get to eat healthy homemade Spanish food with all its freshness. (And immerse in the heart of flamenco!)

An enormous salad is whisked before my eyes, filled with spinach, rucola, canonigos, avocados, strawberries, walnuts and pumpkin seeds.

Manuel Betanzos’ salad today is a feast for the eyes!

The salsa salad dressing surprises me with its light and flavorful taste. It’s a blend of yoghurt, Parmesan cheese and strawberries!

Then out comes the stew of white beans with a yummy meat sauce.

We are trying to eat healthy.

So dinner is a light toast of avocados and Spanish cheese that are beautifully plated. Plus a bit more of the hearty stew.

Gracias, Manuel! 😋😋😋

“Listen, feel and be able to express yourself.”

What I learn from flamenco becomes a Way of Life too.

The art becomes part of Life.

Sharing a preview of new flamenco music we produced recently in Jerez, Spain.

Javier Ibáñez is such an incredible guitarist . His music is so rich with melodies and harmonies that inspire your dance.

I marvel at how he creates it with his fingers, from one single instrument.

Manuel Soto’s voice is so expressive with emotion, it fills your heart.

This music is originally created to accompany the flamenco dance of Manuel Betanzos but dancers who know how to adapt their own dances can work with this music too.

Choosing what I want to work on enables me to learn along the way. My .flamencoonline video courses boosted my learning in the area of live flamenco communication to go with the flow!

Singapore project wrap up! 😄👏🏻 A vibrant week with fun new experiences - debuting a show at the National Gallery of Singapore, followed by a workshop where we learnt a beautiful dance. 💃🇪🇸

It’s a lot of learning, focus and stamina, and we grow each time. Managing our busy life schedules to hold on to and materialize passion projects. It’s an incredible feat for these ladies 👏🏻👏🏻💐

Thank you, for coming on board, bringing your experience and lifting our work to become better.💗

Thank you to all dancers, each of you with your uniqueness, talents and positivity.💛

Thanks to all participants of the workshops 👏🏻particularly the Benamor dancers 👏🏻 who collaborated with Paloma and I on this new original creation for Singapore! You are inspiring me to develop this further, so stay tuned! 😄😉

🌹A joyful encore to close our show 😊
Inspired by Spanish poet, Lorca, I choose this Sevillanas song:

“Saint Gabriel: Here I am
with three nails of Joy
Your glow opens the jasmines
on my face lighted up”

(Informal translation: )

🇪🇸 San Gabriel: Aquí me tienes
con tres clavos de Alegría
Tu fulgor abre jazmines
sobre mi cara encendida”

———

Lorca’s Sevillanas poetically tells about the Anunciation where the Archangel Saint Gabriel announces to Mary that she would have a child. Amidst the joy, there is the prophecy of death (the nails).

Experience an evocative Spanish dance performance that brings together the worlds of poetry, visual art, and movement.

Inspired by Federico García Lorca’s play & poems, and the luminous abstract works of Fernando Zóbel, this performance explores the universal themes of love, longing, and vulnerability through expressive choreography and music.

Presented by dancer and arts producer Tania Goh, the show features special guest artist Paloma Gómez, former dancer of Spain’s renowned Ballet Nacional de España, alongside dancers from Spanish Dance Singapore (Tania Goh, Isabella Liou, Maggie Yong, Serene Ong, Sim Yee Hiew)

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE LECTURE:
Join Tania Goh, and Chief Curator of the National Gallery, Patrick Flores, as they delve into the theme of connections surrounding Fernando Zóbel’s artistic journey.
