Researches from University have shown the following benefits:
1) Adults that learnt music during childhood have better neural timing and respond faster to sound later in life. Keeping hearing in the brain sharp.
2) Benefits of childhood music lessons seems to last even if the person hasn't practise for decades.
3) Better reader and better attention and memory skills.
4) Music lessons keep the auditory system fit ( similar to exercising to keep the body fit )
5) Good results don't come from listening to music. Rather, it comes from learning and playing music.
