The prompt was simple: What superpowers do you want your creature to have to help a tired and forgotten dragon to protect the earth?

👾My creature plants seeds everywhere.
🦄This animal protects other animals.
👹My puppet eats trash and garbage.

Big things come from small acts of care.

🐉 The Forgotten Dragon awakens tomorrow
31 Jan · Funfair of Forgotten Futures
📍 Temasek Shophouse

2pm — Puppet-making workshop
3pm — A parade where cardboard creatures roam

Kids, adults, and curious souls welcome.

Together with the participants from 6th Sense KB, we stirred up a little puppet chaos at The Funfair of Forgotten Futures 🎪 at Temasek Shophouse.

Armed with cardboard boxes and big imaginations, the group created brand-new mythical creatures to help our forgotten dragon—who’s been quietly and tirelessly protecting our lands.

This puppet parade grew out of sessions of making, learning, and sharing with participants and volunteers from 6th Sense in 2025.
Participants shared their hopes, anxieties, and aspirations for the natural environment they wish to inhabit.

These collective reflections took form in the creatures, transforming personal concerns into a shared procession.

Big thanks to puppet masters Jodi Thiele, Terence Tan, 32Cm team, Blueprint Art Space, Temasek Shophouse and the dedicated volunteers from 6th Sense KB!

Play is often one of the earliest casualties of crisis. Yet, as history has shown us, it also persists in the darkest times. It is well documented that children, even in the midst of unimaginable horror of war and disaster, continued to play - not necessarily for joy, but as a means of making sense of their world.

If play can be a mirror, reflecting both trauma and resilience, what then are the games of a climate-challenged generation?

What does it mean to play in an era of ecological crisis?

Play is often one of the first casualties of crisis—yet it endures. Even in times of war and disaster, people continue to play, not always for joy, but to make sense of a fractured world.

If play can be a mirror—reflecting both trauma and resilience—what kinds of games emerge from a climate-challenged generation? Step into a funfair where play becomes a tool for reflection, reckoning, and reimagining our shared futures.

🎠 Come play, pause, and ponder the futures we may be forgetting 🎠
