This painting was done in a classical renaissance style, with a burnt umber reductive under painting then glazing the different layers, bringing an ancient technique bang up to date!

Katelin finished her ‘reverse renaissance’ painting, where she started with black! 😱 Then all the dark, then medium underneath colours, finally she glazed the top colours, highlights and lowlights. 👏🎨
It was a labour of love that took about 7 lessons, the olives were in the fridge so long, new life forms were starting to form and organise themselves into primitive societies!🤣 well done Katelin a stunning piece👏👏👏
