🧶✨ A new season of Crochet Club begins at UWCSEA 🧶✨

We are happy to share that is officially back at .. One of the leading and most prestigious international schools 🏫 in Singapore 🇸🇬

After starting our crochet journey here last year we are delighted to begin a brand-new season with a fresh batch of enthusiastic young makers.
Today was our first session of the new term, with our Grade 6 & 7 students diving straight into their crochet kits, learning the basics, choosing their colours and of course bringing lots of energy and conversation to the room 🤗🧶🌈

There was curiosity, excitement, plenty of chatting, a few “wait… how does this stitch work?” moments 😄 and lots of happy hands 🙌🏼getting busy with yarn 🧶

It was such a fun first session and we can’t wait to see what these young crocheters create over the weeks ahead💕🫶🏻

This Thursday Session #60 , our little pink ribbons came together, one by one. 🎗️🎀💕
We finished making our crochet breast cancer awareness ribbons ..small handmade symbols of awareness, support and hope. 🎗️🎀💕
And it was extra special to have a representative from the Breast Cancer Foundation join us at Fengshan Community Club to see our work in action. 🫶🏻

Last week, we also passed our first lot of completed blankets to BCF. 🙌🏼❤️

From yarn and stitches to blankets and ribbons, every piece carries a little bit of our volunteers’ time, care and love. 🥰
Some projects are about what we make.
Some are about where they go.
But the most meaningful ones are about why we make them. ❤️

Together, we continue to weave happiness,
One Stitch at a Time. 🧶❤️

🧶 Soulful Sunday 127 💛

Today’s table was full of colour, conversations, works-in-progress and some beautiful new connections.

And perhaps our favourite part of today — the circle keeps growing. 💛

Ika joined us just two weeks ago. Today, she came back — and brought her friend Leny along. Now both are weaving, learning and becoming part of the Weaving Happiness community.

And sometimes, happiness finds us unexpectedly. 💛
A passer-by stopped, noticed what was happening around our table, and stayed for a while — curious, encouraging and happy to be part of the moment.

Around the table, blankets were growing, squares were taking shape, new hands were learning and experienced hands were helping.

That’s Soulful Sunday for us. Come to crochet. Stay for the conversations, friendships and the joy of creating something that matters. 💛

Some projects are measured in numbers…
Some are measured in milestones.
But some… are measured in the people who keep showing up. 🙌🏼🧶❤️

This Thursday, we were not just counting blankets.
We were celebrating commitment. 🫶🏻
A few of our Breast Cancer Foundation blankets have already been completed and submitted. 💕
Some are still works in progress , with stitches being added, squares being joined, edges being finished and yarn still making its way through loving hands. 🙌🏼🥰
.and that’s perfectly okay.
Because the heart of this project has never been about finishing everything at once.
It has always been about showing up and continuing 🫶🏻

Week after week.
Stitch after stitch.
Even when life is busy.
Even when a pattern needs to be unravelled and redone… (now we are missing Natasha Ho 🫣🤭🤗)
Even when a blanket takes a little longer than expected.

So what keeps our volunteers coming back? 🤔

Maybe it’s the joy of creating something with their own hands. 🙌🏼 🧶
Maybe it’s the friendships that have grown along the way. 🤗
Maybe it’s the laughter, the conversations and the little moments shared around a table. ❤️
Maybe it’s knowing that their time and effort will eventually bring warmth and comfort to someone going through a difficult journey. 💕

Or perhaps… it’s simply the feeling that when we do something together, it matters a little more. 🫶🏻

There are blankets ready to go.
There are blankets still growing.
And there are volunteers who continue to patiently work away at every single stitch.

Because this is what commitment looks like …
not always loud, not always finished,
but consistent, caring and present. 🙌🏼❤️

To every volunteer who has picked up their hook, needle or yarn and kept going…

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for giving your time.
Thank you for giving your heart. 🥰

The blankets may be made of yarn,
but the reason they exist is something much stronger ..
people who care enough to keep showing up. ❤️

Together, we continue to weave happiness,

We missed sharing our update last week… but perhaps these pictures were worth the wait. 🥰😜🤭

Our Breast Cancer Foundation blanket project is now in its final stretch & this week we found ourselves looking closely at the little things…
The hands 🙌🏼 that crochet 🧶 .
The hands 🙌🏼 that stitch 🪡 .
The hands 🙌🏼 that patiently join one square to another.
The hands that help, guide, untangle and simply lend a hand when needed. 🙌🏼
And then… there are the blankets.

What started as balls of yarn and little squares has slowly turned into something warm, beautiful and whole. 🫶🏻
Every finished blanket carries a little piece of the person who made it..their time, their patience, their creativity and, most importantly, their heart. ❤️💕🤗
And when we put all those hands and all those blankets together, we see something much bigger than 5️⃣0️⃣ lap blankets….
We see friendship…We see community…We see kindness in action. 🫶🏻
Just a few more to go… and soon, these little bundles of love will make their way to someone who needs them. 💕

Many hands.
Many stitches.
One shared purpose.
Together we continue to weave happiness,

Another … 🧶❤️

No big moments today.
Just hands 🙌🏼 busy with yarn 🧶 , hooks moving, little conversations in between… and everyone quietly carrying on with their blankets.
We are now on the last lap of our 50 blankets. 🥹🧶
One stitch at a time, one blanket at a time… we are getting there.

Today we found ourselves taking photos of the hands instead of the faces.
Hands that have been showing up week after week.
Hands making something with patience, love and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

There is something rather beautiful about watching a blanket slowly come together. You don’t always notice the difference from one Sunday to the next… until you look back and realise just how far it has come.

So today’s little update is simply this…
we are still weaving , still chatting, still laughing, still making….
And very soon these 50 blankets will be ready to find their way to someone who needs a little extra warmth. 💕
Another Sunday, another few thousand stitches of love.
