Featuring Artist: Jillian Lim ().

Jillian, a retired accountant, is a hobbyist artist known for her diverse subject matters with preferred mediums in oil, watercolor and pencil. Her body of works include evocative depictions of horses, beautiful landscape, portraits, horses and more.

“When we enter a church, we are naturally drawn to corners with lit candles. A lit flame, in many cultures and religions, is a symbol of faith, miracle, enlightenment, peace, concentration, life-giving power, and joy.” Come and view Jillian’s to share her thoughts and emotions conveyed through her painting.

Born in Trinidad but having stayed in Singapore for almost 40 years, Diane’s experiences and love for painting allows her creativity to flow and have the courage to explore many different themes and expressions.

Come and view Diane’s series on the magnificent horses through her mythical lens, with the inclusion of a female rider demonstrating the strength, determination and dedication in femininity. Finally, the infusion of gold and silver leaf adding the finishing touch as her distinct signature.

“This is a painting from my series: Vanishing Faves. To me, my childhood favourite kuehs are losing their appeal to the next generation. These are likely to vanish in time to come.”
