The Thiruppaavai is a Tamil devotional poem attributed to the female poet - Saint Andal. It consists of 30 Stanzas in praise of Thirumaal - Lord Narayanan. My mother Mrs. Kamala and I have rendered the first Thiruppavai 'Margazhi Thingal' in the ragam 'Naattai' set to 'Adi Thalam'.

Extremely happy to have performed Muthuthandavar krithi 'Sevikka Vendum ayya' in Raga Andolika, with my students yesterday for Kalamanjari at Geylang East Public Library Auditorium.

This is our 4th Program for Kalamanjari in this year. The previous one "Aathichudi - a Dance Drama' was very well received with a repeat performance.

I thank Mrs. Soundaranayaki & Mrs. Swarna for giving me this opportunity. Wishing Kalamanjari many more success..
