Registrations are now open for my next cat painting workshop on Sunday, 13th October 2024, 12-3 pm at Overjoyed Orchard Cineleisure! 🐾

This 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for those who are new to watercolour painting and might feel a tiny bit daunted by the medium (trust that it still frightens me too sometimes 🤭😅) but… Don’t worry! Think of it as a colouring adventure with watercolour as our primary medium— I’ll guide you step by step as we paint together over a pre-drawn illustration of a cat, designed by me specifically for this workshop. 🌟

It’ll be a fun and relaxing session, where we’ll explore the magic of watercolours while creating your own unique pet portrait! Whether you’re a cat lover or just curious about trying out watercolours, this workshop is the perfect way to dive in! 😻

Think of it as a watercolour colouring experience—I’ll guide you through painting over a pre-drawn illustration, offering an introduction to watercolours and the tools needed. 🌟 We’ll be painting a brand-new dog illustration, and you can help decide which breed to feature by commenting below! The final image will be revealed two weeks before the workshop! 🐾

P.S. This is my first time painting a Dalmatian, and it brought back memories of a spotted singapore special stray (we all thought it was a dalmatian but it was probably just a white dog with spots LOL) that used to chase us around when I was 6-7 years old! We thought it was scary, but looking back, I think it probably just wanted to PLAYYYY 🤪😂

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of watercolour techniques, including how to handle brushes, dilute paints, and choose the right paper. We’ll go through some key principles and elements of watercolours that you can even apply to other mediums. But don’t worry—we’re keeping it light and fun! No need to stress about perfect colour mixing or mastering intermediate skills. Watercolours can be a bit daunting, but they don’t have to be. We’ll make sure there’s plenty of room for playful exploration and creative freedom. 🌈
