From 3 January to 5 February 2027, join 200+ youths on an incredible voyage across Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan for cultural exchange, meaningful discussions, and lifelong friendships.

Using theatre to share their ideas and opinions, engaging them in productive creative output and ultimately validating their concepts and philosophies, empowering their choices, and enriching their growth and development as leaders and spokespeople of the future.

Buds Theatre has officially appointed SW Strategies as its communications partner 🤝🎭

This 12-month pro bono partnership will support Buds Theatre’s media relations, content, and stakeholder communications across Singapore and Southeast Asia, helping amplify initiatives like Buds Youth Theatre and the Asian Youth Theatre Festival (AYTF) Movement.

Together, the collaboration aims to strengthen engagement, expand regional reach, and continue empowering young people through theatre, storytelling, and creative exchange across Asia.

What a night we had!

And such amazing feedback.

The Right to be Human, looked at the intersections between mental health and puppetry. And boy did we unpack a lot of issues with the aid of our incredible panellists and students who were open to share.

Buds Theatre advocates theatre for change. The changes were palpable, with parents supporting and promoting the arts as an avenue not just of expression, but as a healing and mental wellness device to increase empathy and understanding for young people in SG.

Buds Theatre's supports this wholeheartedly, but we don't stop there - our mission is larger - our aim is to benefit the lives of young people across SEA, with our flagship programme, AYTF. Held this year in Vientiane, Laos in partnership with Khao Niew Puppet Theatre. 4th - 8th December.

The Right to be Human!

What a celebration!

The performances were exquisite, but it was the discussions that took the evening to a whole new level.

Thank you to all those who participated, it was an insanely valuable evening - enriching the lives of local students, ensuring their voices are heard.

Thank you to NYC for powering this event through the Singapore Asean Youth Fund and to Nafa (UAS) for sharing your space to support our youth through theatre.

Produced by Buds Theatre in partnership with Nafa (UAS), powered by the National Youth Council (NYC), the event is in support of this year's SG Youth Plan (SGYP) series of engagements.
