What happens when children are allowed to tell their own stories? In Oct 2025, as part of Octoburst! 2025, Esplanade delivered activity kits (designed with ) to schools around Singapore, allowing children to craft their own storytelling adventures through creative prompts and engaging crafts!

In conjunction with Children’s Day every October, Esplanade presents Octoburst!, a festival that encourages artful play and fun for all.

💖 This Valentine’s Day, fall in love with ballet at Introduction to Coppélia by Singapore Ballet

This ballet classic follows the charming Franz, who is trying to win the heart of Swanilda. All is well until a mysterious girl catches his eye—only, she isn't real! She is a mechanical doll created by Dr. Coppélius to trick Franz. Will Swanilda be able to rescue her beloved from the strange Dr. Coppélius?

Caught in action: laughs, cheers and lots of BURPing!

BURP by Stan is a playful, interactive theatre experience about a man who collects sounds in special jars, each unlocking a memory or feeling. One day, a mighty burp ripples through his body but will he be able to collect it in time before it escapes? Parents and their little ones have been joining in the adventure in this extraordinary game of chase between Burp and the Sound Collector.

It's PLAYtime! The theatre series is back with three productions for children aged 3–6, celebrating the joy of play and imagination while reflecting their perspectives, curiosities and anxieties through stories that spark creativity, wonder and empathy.

🫧BURP, 30 Jan – 15 Feb: Join in the chase with the Sound Collector as he goes on a hunt to capture an elusive, mischievous Burp.

🤝Together, 2 – 17 May: Gor Gor and Mei Mei's boredom sparks imaginative play, turning their home into a gateway to magical adventures.

🌅The Amazing Sarong, 14 – 30 Aug: When their mother hands them her sarong, siblings Nora and Adi discover that this seemingly ordinary fabric can transform into anything their imagination allows.
