After almost a year of sharing content beyond yarn, I’ve decided it’s time to gently streamline my online space. This page will be taking a quiet bow.

Over the past months, I’ve been exploring new ideas, playing, growing, and I’ll continue sharing these little adventures over on my personal channels. I’ll also be evolving the Knotty Bicsie Instagram into a space that reflects more of this journey of personal growth and discovery.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this 20-year journey. What an incredible chapter it has been! I’m so grateful for your support, encouragement, and friendship every step of the way.

While I may no longer be teaching knitting and crochet, yarn is still very much part of my life, and so is connecting meaningfully with people like you.

Had a fun filled afternoon picking up new skills. Hoping to use this new skillset to connect with people & incorporate into volunteering works. It’s S*F season again. Edda’s artwork is on display at the National Gallery Singapore as part of the Singapore Youth Festival Art Exhibition! 🎉

The exhibition runs from today until 19 July, 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., at the Spine Hall and Imaginary Gallery (Level B1). Admission is free, so do drop by if you’re in the area!

This year she’s been incorporating 3D-printing & crochet into her art exploration and art making, in this S*F piece & also her AEP portfolio. It’s been a fascinating journey. She’s done several strong work this year, but can’t share since it’s for O Level submission. Really proud to witness her blossoming 🥰👍🏼

*Artful Life 2026 — January Reflection*

January did not give me 31 finished mini artworks, and that’s perfectly okay. What it gave me instead was something far richer. Over the month, I encountered and experienced well over a hundred works of art, thanks to Singapore Art Week, Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and an art exhibition by fellow art teachers.

Living intentionally with this month reminded me why I fell in love with it in the first place. Art invites us to pause. Art asks us to think. Art helps us listen more closely to our own inner voices. In a fast-paced world where we are constantly bombarded by stimulation and noise, art quietly gives us our time and our attention back.

I’m not entirely sure where *Artful Life 2026* will lead me. But one thing is clear: it has awakened a deep itch to make art again. And that, in itself, feels like a very good beginning.
