AMPLIFY: Our Stories, Our Songs!

Date/Time: 16 Aug, Sunday, 7:15pm and 8pm
Venue: DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade

The AMPLIFY band presents an evening of original music inspired by personal struggles, aspirations and the desire for healing and second chances.

Enjoy a lineup of self-written songs from the finals of the Yellow Ribbon Songwriting Competition 2025, including the winning entry, Change, and band member Jasmine Angelena’s top five finalist song, Shine.

The band will also perform All That She Wants, an original composition by one of its members that garnered more than 6,000 streams within three weeks of its release.

This performance is made possible with the support of Intune Music and Yellow Ribbon Singapore.

We were honoured to be the opening performance for the Public Service Festival 2026 at The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC)!

The song featured in this performance, "Lessons", is a pop single released in 2021, written and performed by Upu (Upu Badarrudin Shah Bin Jaldairie), who is also the singer and guitarist in this video. The song carries a heartfelt message about making positive life choices, encouraging listeners to follow their hearts, learn from their experiences, and grow through life's challenges.

Thank you to the organisers for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful celebration, and to everyone who joined us and supported our performance.

Congratulations to Shaun on achieving a Merit in his Rockschool Grade 8 Electric Guitar Examination!

Reaching Grade 8 is a remarkable accomplishment, especially within such a short period of time while balancing many other commitments. His dedication, perseverance, and passion for music truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of his achievement.

Grade 8 is not only a testament to technical skill and musical understanding, but also to the discipline and consistency required throughout the learning journey. Shaun’s hard work serves as an inspiration to many aspiring musicians to continue striving for excellence despite life’s busy demands.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Yellow Ribbon Fund and the Yellow Ribbon Star Bursary for their generous support and encouragement. Their contribution continues to empower individuals through education and the arts, creating opportunities for growth and transformation.
