Walk with Zarina (), to a place she once called home.

It begins in Aligarh, a small university town in India, where she fell for the written word. Her father’s books and Urdu poetry spoken at home shaped the language she would later carry into Directions to My House, the poem voiced in the video and the namesake of the exhibition.

On view at STPI until 1 August.

Zarina () crystallised the idea of home without knowing where she truly belonged. She etched it in paper, wood, and gold.

One of the most celebrated printmakers of her generation, her work turns displacement, identity and home into something tender.

Curated by Sarah Burney ()—Zarina’s former studio manager and close friend—Directions to My House offers a deeply personal lens on the artist: her spirit, temperament, and the colourful life she lived across cities.

On view here at STPI till 1 August. Plan your visit now.

Kim Beom returns to STPI as part of a collaboration that spans nearly a decade, continuing to translate his artistic concerns into the mediums of print and paper. His practice questions everyday realities, utilising absurdist scenarios to interrogate the boundaries between fiction and reality.

During previous residencies, Kim developed a series of cyanotypes that feature blueprints of security guard watchtowers—their sole purpose, ironically, to allow for security guards to watch over themselves.

This residency marks the next chapter in Kim's ongoing body of work at STPI. Watch this space.
