Settling in Japan has been taking some time
and I think that’s ok !
It’s been more than 6 weeks since I’ve moved to Tokyo and although I have lived here before, there has been quite a few curveballs and things that are still up in the air which is making me feel like I haven’t really settled quite in yet. One of it is my mobile phone that died out of the blue, and it had all my important memories and documents inside😭Thankfully! My sister visited recently and passed me her spare phone and I managed to get things going after two weeks :)) 🙏
When I was telling my partner about all these unexpected curveballs that came this way, he said, “but hasn’t life been good otherwise?” And I agree, life has been good, I started cooking more and eating better, I met some friends and family here, and I’m creating plans for new projects! Whenever there were some downs, there were even more ups so far that made the curveballs seem small.
Even though I haven’t fully settled in, I am happy.
