Chalk n Pencils Art Classes for Children and Adults We also offer a full custom painting program to help you achieve your desired canvas painting!

Our bright and beautiful studio is located on Joo Chiat Road; nestled among shophouses Chalk n Pencils is a cornucopia of paint, easels, plants, and crafts! We run a range of adult/children painting classes for all skill levels and our studio is stocked with everything you need to complete your painting project -from pencils and pastels to watercolour and oil paint. Joo Chiat Street Social was a joy đź’›

Thank you to everyone who came by, queued for fairy wings, and sat still for a photo-booth portrait. Some booths sold out faster than we expected - so here’s your second chance.

Saturday 10 Oct, 9am to 12pm, our New Bahru studio becomes a carnival. Face painting, clay station, ice cream cart, kids mani, floral fairy wings and the illustrated photo-booth, all run by our teachers.

Come in costume and there’s a free ice cream in it for you 🍦
Carnival coupons $10 a pack, available on the day. Current students get their first pack free. No regular classes that morning - whole studio is yours.

We’re bringing an art carnival to Joo Chiat Street Social 🎨
Find us next to Joo Chiat CC on Friday 3 Oct, 4 to 7pm.

Ice cream craft, kids mani, floral fairy wings and an illustrated photo-booth - every station run by our own teachers.
Activities run on carnival coupons, $10 a pack, available on the day. Current students get their first pack free.

Can you believe we are already nearing the end of the term? Don’t worry though, there is still time to grab an easel and sketch with us!

We only have a handful of Guided Life Drawing sessions left. If you have been wanting to try figure drawing or just need some dedicated time to practice your fundamentals, now is the perfect time to jump in. Priscilia leads these sessions at a really comfortable pace, sharing live demos and helpful feedback so you can actually see your skills grow.

Each remaining session explores a totally different medium. Here is what is on the schedule to close out the term:
• May 21: Short N**e Poses in Ink
• May 24: Long Towel Pose in Chalk
• May 28: Short N**e Poses in Watercolour
• June 7: Short Ballerina Poses in Charcoal
When: Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Lady Whistledown could not have scripted a more captivating sitting. The only scandal would be leaving your paper blank.

We had first-timers and experienced painters working side by side.

Oil painting requires different thinking than charcoal work - slower process, more planning, different problem-solving.
