At Jitterbugs Swingapore®, we believe in a holistic dance education. In order for a student to reach their personal potential, multiple dance genres should be studied. This is where proper posture, placement and control are developed. Modern jazz exposes the students to a wide variety of styles and increases performance quality. Tapping places a strong emphasis on rhythm and musicality. As a dancer develops, it becomes increasingly difficult to perform successfully in one genre alone. We offer an elite program based solely on the prestigious syllabi offered by the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance (CSTD) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Our Pre-Program commences at 4yrs of age. Our young dancers will gain a solid technical foundation, and develop strong sense of musicality and performance skills. Our Program commences at 6-7yrs. Students may enter directly into the first level, or proceed from our Pre-Program (students enrolled in our Pre-Program will be given priority in registration).

Last weekend, our students returned to the stage at the CSTD Public Examinations. It was a night filled with stunning performances and memorable moments, including the inaugural Prestige Performance Award, presented to Lim Ziwen for contemporary pieces that caught the attention of Mrs Maria Shanks, the examiner for the night.

Well done, everyone. We’re so proud of all you've achieved - not just that evening, but for the entire year 🖤🧡.

Congratulations to our alumni student, Natasha Went! We're ecstatic about your casting as a MainStage dancer on Disney Cruise Line's Disney Destiny. We're so proud of your hard work.

As the first student at Jitterbugs to complete every grade of the CSTD examinations across Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary, it's befitting to see you come full circle and express yourself on one of the most loved stages afloat.
