the ones that did not last.
now at that moment he could see
how time flew by so fast,
where he could not accept nor believe
that soon it'll all be dust.

he'd left her waiting unfulfilled
where she'd wondered where he was.
though that was when she understood
where she recognized her fall,
"he can never kill or ruin my mood
if i never gave my all."

now as his skin it lost its sheen
he hollered out, aggrieved,
"oh were they worth it, all the wins -

both likable and sweet,
while she had him, her wit bone dry
it left him at her feet.
but as time passed he caught her eye
where he appealed to her needs,
and there it changed - a single sigh -
it’s like they were born to meet.
