An immersive theatre VR experiment that we have had the honour to work on is ready for trial 🕯️

We are looking for some brave souls to be our test audience as part of this programme by XR Legacy. You will be entering a virtual house designed by yours truly, each room opening into different layer of memory, sights and sounds - created by both Openbrush and live performance.

A big shoutout to Benedict Yu’s Art Studio for inviting us onboard, the mentors for their generous feedback and of course National Arts Council SG for this platform. Can’t wait to show you what we have been working on.

PS: There will also be a special appearance by a guest performer. 👀

Our work-in-progress showcase with Instabili Vaganti | Experimental Theatre Company for Beyond Borders will happen 14 August at 8:30pm at the WUSHIREN Studio ✨

Please note that this is a private event so indicate your interest by dropping us an email. We have very limited capacity and will be admitting on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Donations are very welcome and will go towards supporting the artists involved in this project.

Our new term for Chen Style Taiji will begin once more! Thank you to everyone for the support, interest and the continuous cultivation of the craft. Do take note of the dates for the classes this term. We will continue to split the class according to skill levels, thus, all are welcome! Primarily taught in English, this set of 6 weeks of class will continue to develop the 18 step chen style taiji routine and the foundations!

WUSHIREN Theatre is excited to collaborate with Instabili Vaganti (Italy) to present Beyond Borders, an intensive intercultural performance residency exploring physical theatre, movement, voice and devised performance.

We are seeking actors, dancers, physical theatre performers, choreographers and multidisciplinary artists who are curious about collaborative creation and embodied practice.

If you’re ready to cross artistic boundaries and create new work alongside an international ensemble, we’d love to hear from you.

Bonfire 🔥 at Esplanade eXchAnge

In each of these photos, you can see a different story written on every face. To see unmitigated expression is difficult to come by, but still we wanted to experiment if such a space can exist — for non-linear, non-performance born only out of encountering each other.

Still reeling from the time, conversation, shared space together. Some journeys are beyond words. Thank you to our beautiful collaborators for your energy and heartfelt reflections on this journey.

Thank you to everyone who made time to watch us become fire. We always welcome discourse and thoughts on the work we make.
