ARTITUTE Founder and Editor-in-Chief Suzanna Low had the opportunity to interview Indonesian artist Elia Nurvista for her presentation within Nafasan Bumi: An Endless Cycle at Singapore Art Museum.

Presented alongside artist-technologist Bagus Pandega, the exhibition explores the complex realities behind palm oil and nickel extraction, two raw materials that shape everyday products and global economies.

The exclusive feature delves into Elia’s research on plantation systems, women’s labour, material experimentation, and her film Plantation Tragedy. The interview was followed by a personal walkthrough of the exhibition, offering deeper insight into the works on view.

Art SG 2026 continues to position itself as a platform for reflection, dialogue, and care within the regional and global art ecosystem.

In our latest article, Holding Space for the Humane, the Fragile, and the Unfinished, we reflect on selected presentations and practices from this year’s fair that emphasized on vulnerability, process, and human connection over spectacle.

Beyond the artworks, Art SG also remains a meeting point for artists, curators, writers, and cultural practitioners. Meaningful exchanges and reunions continue to shape the conversations that extend beyond the fair itself.
