🔥 Jealousy ignites. Love is tested. A hero falls. 🔥

New Opera Singapore’s Opera Espresso Series plunges audiences into the white-hot intensity of Verdi’s Otello — presented in a tightly curated highlights format that distils the opera’s most powerful moments into an electrifying theatrical experience. Storms rage, passions erupt, and fate unfolds as music and drama collide in one of opera’s greatest tragedies.

Featuring some of Singapore’s leading opera artists, this production stars Shaun Lee as the noble yet tormented Otello, Renata Hann as the innocent and devoted Desdemona, and Martin Ng as the sinister Jago, whose whispered manipulations set catastrophe in motion. At the piano, Soh Wei Qi drives Verdi’s searing score with urgency and dramatic clarity. Otello lays bare the fragile boundary between love and destruction — served with intensity, immediacy, and emotional force.
