WHAT’s the symbolism? What is being conveyed? The fascinating motifs of Lampung ikats have taken my breath away! They are fine ikats with complex motifs. Museum notes mention the Hayat tree, sea creatures and more but none are immediately or obviously recognisable .. maybe over extended study there will be some enlightenment. ❤️
