🎶 Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start ✨️ Come join us as we sing you some fun, catchy, (mostly) family-friendly songs from local musicals through the years. Happening this Sunday 10 March at 11am and 1pm at the Esplanade Upper Concourse! 🙌

How did local musicals begin? What do local musicals sound like then and now? The songs you hear may surprise you, entice you and tickle you! But one thing is for sure—the songs you hear will certainly entertain you!

🎄Our annual Christmas show is back!⛄

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year again! But not so wonderful for the boys and girls who have to miss out on the festivities because they have That Thing. I mean, they feel totally fine, but they just. can’t. go. do. Christmas! The Elves in charge of the Cheer ChecklistTM are calling an Emergency Cheer Meeting - how can they help the boys and girls feel Christmassy even though they’re alone?

Through Christmas classics, festive-themed Musical Theatre song and dance, and a whole lot of silliness, the Elves form a plan for everyone in Santa's workshop on how to move forward from here.

This past weekend marked the conclusion to the past few months of working, dreaming, creating and rehearsing for the team of In Pieces. It has been an absolutely crazy, rollercoaster of a journey, with unexpected twists and turns at every corner, but we are so grateful to have all these wonderful folks in this team on board for the ride, sticking with us through thick and thin - so willing to hang on for dear life and scream with us. They say you never forget those who stick by you and support you when you have nothing, and we will certainly remember all these folks with much gratitude, respect, fondness and love for the rest of our existence. You guys have all been amazing members of our tiny but mighty team, and from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank each and every one of you for making sure In Pieces was in fact, not in pieces, but came together in the end as a solid and heartfelt whole.

➡️ till the end for full list of credits

Until next time, looking ahead to the future because You Never Know “what’s happening” (iykyk) ❤️

and not forgetting .omegranate & - photos ran out of tags :/

We would be 🧩in pieces🧩 without these guys! 🧡 Introducing the amazing understudies of In Pieces: Beatrice Jaymes Pung, Claris Tan, Koh Jing Sen and Marc Tham. These uber talented folks have been absolutely instrumental in helping us put the show together - from stepping in when cast members have had other prior commitments, or have gone on a date with ms rona, to filling people in on blocking and choreography, to standing-in for our choreographer who is also in the show. These guys cover multiple tracks and they have worked so hard and know the show so well it's crazy. This is truly the time of the understudies and we just want to take a moment to celebrate their dedication, hard work and talent. We appreciate them so so much. Send them some massive love y'all! 💖

Our love lives are constantly in pieces. Shifting in and out of feeling fully complete. But you never know how a single spark one day can unlock a new you, so we make a choice at the crossroad, we say yes to the coffee date, and wherever that leads, we learn to embrace the journey. In Pieces reflects on the romantic journeys of eight individuals, as they share, ponder and look back on the chosen paths and partners along the way. Set in New York City, there’s the scary excitement of being vulnerable and saying yes to whatever adventure is ahead. The magical first kiss. An unlikely friendship. Well-kept secrets. The monotony. The rebound. An awkward reunion on the 1 train. And the honest conversations of deserving more. All these pieces of a life that at times connect and disconnect, but once at a distance, come together to create a universal remembrance of what it’s like to be young and learning in love.

The Musical Theatre Choreography Lab in collaboration with New York Theatre Barn presents MIMOSA the Musical, a work-in-progress workshop staging by the 7/8 Musical Collective.

Mimosa is a plant with a special gift: she can dance! Mom begs her to stop. What if she’s seen by a human? Then along comes Molly, a lonely teenager. She catches sight of Mimosa dancing and whisks her home, despite her Dad’s “no plant” rule. As their friendship buds, Mimosa learns something that could save both their communities – if she and Molly could only learn to communicate.

Mimosa is a a family friendly musical about a special plant and her awkward human friend. Filled with toe tapping music, puppetry and brought to life by a stellar cast of 10, don’t miss this opportunity to catch the workshop premiere of this exciting new musical.

It was so inspiring to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas and hopes for the future. Thank you to everyone who popped in and chatted with us! Heres a photo of the folks who stayed to the very end ❤

THE ELVES ARE BACK!!! "What are you doing Christmas eve?" says the song. But also us, because it is that time of year again 🌲 The most wonderful time of the year. Where Santa's quirky workers get together and spontaneously break out into songs that they all magically know. These elves are of the Musical Theatre persuasion btw, so get ready for some Christmas tunes and Broadway faves. Oh yeah and speaking of Santa... he won't be coming this year.

*cue hysterical panicking elves*

What will happen to Christmas??? Guess you'll just have to come to the show tomorrow and find out!
