Good vibes, good food, and real conversations—that’s how we roll at Somerset. ✨

At our last engagement session, we launched the Somerset Reset Roadshow with SCAPE’s MakanSesh for an unforgettable evening.

From a coffee rave ☕️ with live DJ sets to carnival games 🎯, a photobooth 📸, bubble tea, 🧋and a BBQ buffet 🍗—youth had the space to hang out, connect, and share their Reset experiences.

But it doesn’t end here. 🚀
The Somerset Reset Roadshow is still on until 24 Aug at *Commune, *SCAPE Level 1. It’s free, and everyone’s welcome to join!

🚀 In case you missed it, we were joined by Mr David Neo 梁振伟 , Acting Minister for Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth - MCCY, and Senior Minister of State for Education to mark the official launch of The Trampoline—right in the heart of the Somerset Belt. 🎉

It's not just a safe space for the youth to find their community, but also a springboard for youth-led change.

Led by Access, Trampoline supports disadvantaged youths through mentorships, career exposure, and real-world learning that opens doors.

The stories shared by alumni and fellowship mentees remind us what’s possible when young people are backed with belief, support, and opportunity. 🌱

For Shana, surfing is more than just a chill time riding waves 🏄‍♀️
It taught her that failure is feedback—and resilience is the quiet commitment to keep showing up despite the wipeouts. 🌊

During her first open surf session, she was the only woman there. Intimidated, but not deterred.

Now, as a surf instructor at Trifecta Singapore , she’s determined to build a space where women feel supported, so that more people will try something new, push their limits, and find their community along the way.🫶

For Yuxuan, aka "Yux", drumming isn’t just a passion. It’s the dream he gets to live. 🥁💥

From jamming in *SCAPE's Ebenex studio to watching the Somerset Youth Park evolve, he’s seen how far the space—and his craft—have come.

Back then, he wanted to make a name for himself. That dream felt massive, and terrifying.
His advice? Believe in yourself. Or no one else will.

To him, Somerset has the potential to grow into something even bigger—not just for youth, but for everyone chasing what they love. 💭🎶

Ong Kah Jin grew up watching documentaries—and now he makes them. 🎬

He tells the stories people carry but can’t always say out loud.
After winning the National Youth Film Awards in 2017, he knew this dream was worth chasing. 🏆

To him, Somerset should be a place where young creators get a shot—even if they fail—as long as they keep showing up. 💥

🎸 Two guitarists, one love for the stage.

Gabriel’s played almost every venue along the Somerset Belt—his favourite? The iconic Skate Park. For Coral, one of her earliest performances was at *SCAPE’s Ground Theatre.

Together, they’re proof that it’s never just about the genre, or the crowd size. It’s about the passion. And they hope Somerset will keep being a stage for connection, creativity, and culture—across genres and generations. 🎶

For Ian, also known as "Chunky", dance helps him say what words can’t.

As founder of Lion City Lockers Official, he’s been repping Singapore’s locking scene since the 2000s.

Somerset’s always been home for dancers—a safe space to train, vibe, and hone their craft. Now he’s hoping for more spaces, more spotlight, and more rhythm for the next wave. 🕺🎶
