Illustration Arts Fest Illustration Arts Festival Illustration Arts Fest (IAF) is Singapore’s first indie illustration-centric festival!

As part of the 10th anniversary of the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC Singapore), the Council is teaming up with Singapore Writers Festival (SWF), LASALLE College of the Arts; and East London Comics Arts Festival (ELCAF) and Nobrow Press to present the inaugural IAF, celebrating illustrators and illustration in Asia. The IAF is focused on originally created content and narratives by ind

ependent illustrators who work in styles and art forms which are not commonly seen in Asia. This is distinguished from the more prevalent trend of superheroes, manga and anime themes.

Rei [He/Him] is a q***r, local illustrator and graphic novelist whose work focuses around intersectionality, person-hood, and the quiet ways in which individuals find themselves moving through the world. He is fascinated by the way images (both real and imagined) can shape/re-shape memory, and the part visual storytelling can play in showcasing the multiplicity and subjectivity of local histories and culture.

Using a wide range of materials, he creates works that deepen and transform the meanings of images.He has participated in exhibitions and art book fairs in Tokyo,Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, Vienna, Berlin, Bangkok, and Singapore, and has held solo exhibitions at Nanzuka and ONDO galleries. Every edition of the Illustration Arts Festival is built on countless conversations, collaborations, and the shared belief that creativity brings people together. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, here’s a look behind the making of IAF 2026! Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey!

Maomaomao is a Tokyo-based multidisciplinary artist working across illustration, publishing, ceramics, sculpture, and experimental object-making. Guided by the belief that ��fun is more meaningful than meaning,�� he explores ways of transforming thoughts, emotions, and everyday observations into images, objects, and narratives.
Moving between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, his practice embraces humor, curiosity, and play as tools for storytelling. Through a wide range of materials and mediums, he creates open-ended works that invite audiences to imagine, discover, and interpret freely.

About the artist:
Eya welcomes you to her world of blue, where she portrays herself as Lilut, the blue-haired girl, to do many “out of the world” things in her artwork. Eya is an illustrator who turns her daydreams and night thoughts into series of whimsical visuals. She created a little shop called “Eya & Lilut”, to share her playful arts in the form of stationeries. Eya makes the books herself—from selecting and cutting the paper, binding the pages, trimming the edges and corners, to packing them safely yet pretty. She hopes people will find joy and jolly in her stories and creations.
