Back at NTUC Health Nursing Home (Jurong Spring) on a sunny Saturday ☀️

It was a meaningful afternoon performing alongside the talented and enthusiastic residents, and heartwarming to see their families, friends and fellow residents come together to cheer them on. 🩵

Thank you to the home for welcoming us back, our conductor Aaron Yong, and all our musicians and volunteers for making this afternoon possible.

Join us for a heartfelt celebration of joy, dignity and the transformative power of music. Music for Life will feature beloved classical tunes, evergreen pop favourites and familiar local folk songs, performed by the MAC Ensemble, alongside the residents of NTUC Health Nursing Home (Jurong Spring).

More than just a concert, this is a celebration of community where everyone has a place to make music, and to belong. Through music and stories from the ground, discover the profound impact the arts can have on seniors, caregivers, volunteers and the wider community.

We are also honoured to have Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development, grace the occasion as our Guest-of-Honour.

Spent our Saturday afternoon surrounded by good music and even better company at NTUC Health (Tampines) - Nursing Home 🎵

A big thank you to the home for welcoming us warmly, and to the residents for being such an awesome and lively audience. 🩵

Shoutout to our conductor Aaron Yong, as well as our talented musicians and volunteers who dedicated their time to MAC Ensemble. 🎉

We’re off to the last season for 2025!

Grateful for the volunteer players who have stayed on from the previous season(s) as well as the new players who are still welcome to join us this time round.

For the upcoming performances, we’ll be pushing ourselves with more challenging pieces while keeping the evergreens fondly in our pockets for Residents to reminisce.

Anyone still keen to join MAC Ensemble and our cause for strengthening community bonding and resilience, it’s never late to do so. Pls DM me/Janelle Kam if interested.

Throwback to July 2025 when, for the first time, MAC Ensemble tried out small chamber groups to play in the wards of Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital.

This brought much laughter, close interactions, rambunctious excitement enthusiasm to ward residents in a mash-up of music and movement-focused games 💖💖

All the practices, hard work and planning was well worth it! It brought us so much joy seeing residents afflicted with dementia, stroke and paralysis fogetting their limitations for a moment and getting themselves to push their boundaries.

We will want to pursue this format when the opportunity arises. Stay tuned for more updates!
