Did you know that the brand mark of our Society comprises an icon of an inflorescence of three ๐˜’๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ข ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ข๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ด flowers, within a crimson red square-circle.

These small fragrant white flowers are native to Singapore. Popularly known as Singapore Kopsia, they flower only twice a year in the wild. However, if cultivated and grown under right condition, they are free flowering. The plant is hardy and tolerates waterlogged soils.

The inflorescence of three Singapore Kopsia flowers represents the community of botanical art lovers, artists and enthusiasts coming together to enjoy and celebrate their passion and love for botanical art.

The square-circle (also known as โ€œfang yuanโ€, which means neighbourhood or vicinity in Chinese) refers to the vibrant thriving environment which our Society is continually creating to nurture, cultivate and support the community of botanical artists in Singapore and her neighbours in the Asia-Pacific region.

As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the vibrant energy and passionate commitment that fuels our community. Much like the chili pepper - a botanical marvel of both brilliance and spirit - our members have brought heat, color, and vitality to our shared pursuits.

This wreath, drawn by our talented member, Kelly Bassett, symbolizes more than the festive season. It represents the circle of our community, ever-connected. It speaks of warmth in fellowship and the fiery spark of creativity that continues to inspire us all.

May your holidays be filled with joy, reflection, and the beauty of quiet observation.
