πŸ“ž Sorry, can't hear you… Chow Qian Tong is busy achieving The Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal & IES Engineering Award. πŸ…πŸ…

Qian Tong’s interest in Civil and Structural Engineering was inspired by her father, a Construction Project Manager, who nurtured her curiosity by bringing her to construction sites and exposing her to a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects.

"Civil Engineering was not originally my passion, but I could certainly see it in my father's eyes. Now his dream is also my dream, and I am happy to make him proud." β€” Chow Qian Tong

From graduating from Higher Nitec in Civil & Structural Engineering Design to pursuing a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Qian Tong is building a future with purpose. πŸ’›

Today, we celebrated the graduation of 10,955 students and adult learners from ITE's full-time, part-time, and diploma programmes!

Each graduate's journey was unique - from those who returned to school after years in the workforce to those who overcame personal or academic hurdles. Every story is a reminder that resilience fuels success.

This celebration also belongs to the parents, families, lecturers, employers, workplace mentors, and friends whose unwavering support made these achievements possible.

We were honoured to have Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of National Development, as our Guest-of-Honour to celebrate the achievements of the ITE Class of 2026.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and graduates! As you embark on your next chapter, continue to dream big, keep learning, and make a positive impact wherever you go!

πŸ’™ The future is yours to shape.

The past two months have been filled with inspiring achievements, new partnerships and innovative learning opportunities at ITE! ✨

πŸ† We celebrated over 400 students at the ITE Student Achievers' Awards Ceremony, including 58 Lee Kuan Yew Award recipients, for their excellence in arts, sports, co-curricular activities, leadership, and technological innovation.

🀝 We partnered Therme Group Singapore and Pan Pacific Hotels Group to create more internships, industry projects, scholarships and Work-Study Diploma opportunities for students in the wellness and hospitality sectors.

🩺 Together with NUS, we launched Singapore's first intra-professional nursing training programme, using immersive virtual simulation to strengthen collaborative patient care training for about 700 nursing ITE and NUS students annually.

Last week, we witnessed the magic of VocalITE, our first student-led production. Over 50 students from ITE Show Choir and ITE That A Ca****la Group (TAG) managed everything from stage direction to marketing, bringing the production to life.

At the same time, our ITE Concert Band performed at BRIDGE, a Korea-Singapore Cultural Exchange Concert in Seoul. Carl Angel Getulle Francisco, an EXCO member of the band, shared: β€œThe concert was a success because everyone contributed and had fun. It was a wonderful opportunity to perform with an orchestra overseas.”

TAG also competed at the A Ca****la Championships just before taking part in VocalITE. Beyond performances, these were real-life lessons on leadership, collaboration, and resilience.
