It’s not always FUN, it’s not Easy, but it’s gonna be Special💕

Working on the turmeric flower 🌸 — one of the pieces for my upcoming 2026 calendar! I’m about two-thirds of the way through the artwork prep. Honestly, I’m a little behind the timeline I had hoped for (birthday week was a joyful pause 🎂✨), but I’m grateful for the reminder that God is my helper.

Completing 12 meaningful artworks sometimes feels daunting, but I’m learning to take it one step, one brushstroke at a time. Even on days when I can’t sit down to paint, I can still make progress in other parts of the preparation.

I had planned to launch preorders later this week, but it’s looking more like next week if all goes well 🤞🏼. Would appreciate your prayers that things will come together, and that I can persevere with the Lord’s strength. I trust I’ll look back on this season remembering His goodness and grace 🙏🏼.

Thank you for journeying with me — every word of encouragement truly lifts me! 💛

It’s been such an honour and privilege to be part of this meaningful project. As an old girl of MGS, I was invited back to help facilitate a beautiful collaboration between Methodist Girls' School, Hannah (now known as Cedar Tree) PCS Active Ageing Centre, and Kent Ridge Secondary School — with about 40 participants in total!

The chosen theme was local food — something close to all our hearts. We began with a lively brainstorming session, sharing our favourite local dishes and the memories they carried. Each participant sketched their ideas, and from these, I designed five murals — each with its own theme, yet all tied together with a consistent style.

We worked in mixed groups, which meant conversations flowed easily across generations and backgrounds. In the process, we didn’t just fill the walls with food that warms our stomachs — we filled them with colour, joy, and memories that warm the heart.

I’m deeply grateful to all the participants, my alma mater MGS and their amazing staff, the residents, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this possible.

This was truly a collective effort, and to celebrate SG60 in this way has made it even more meaningful. Food is such a huge part of our shared culture — and as an artist, I believe art too has the power to bridge cultures and generations.

If you’re in the area, do drop by Blk 21 Toh Yi Drive, Level 1 & 2, to see the murals in person. 🥰

在武吉知马一带的道义通道第21座组屋,一楼与二楼的墙面出现五彩缤纷的壁画,椰浆饭、虾面、咖椰面包等本地传统美食跃然其上,令人看了仿佛能闻到阵阵香味。

I’m happy to share that work on the 2026 calendar has officially begun!

Every year since launching the first calendar in 2021, I’ve told myself there’s no pressure to make another. If God calls me to do it again, then I will. And each year, He gently confirms that He’s not done yet—not with this project, not with me. There’s still more of His beauty to explore, more of His Word to anchor hearts.

This year, the process started slowly. I’d been thinking about it since January, but had no clear ideas. Then, as I was praying about whether to take on more responsibilities at Bible study, my husband reminded me, “You haven’t started the calendar yet.” After saying yes, ideas began to flow. In one day, I had mapped out approximately 60–70% of the concept.

The process always takes me through peaks and valleys, through cycles of grief, doubt, and conviction. But I’m reminded again that it’s about trusting our faithful God and walking step by step with Him.

Would you love a closer, behind-the-scenes peek into the creation of the 2026 calendar? I’ll be sharing exclusive updates, verse previews, and giving you a front row seat on how things are unfolding. You may even get to vote on some final touches! In addition to this monthly email, which I share on the first Friday of every month, I’ll send you one to two emails each month, sharing my progress, how you can pray for me and for those who are helping me.

If would like these updates, comment ‘INSIDER’ below and I’ll send you a link to get my email updates on this journey! 💕

I've been quiet on social media, but life offline has been hectic! On Monday, I attended a Botanical Art sketchbook workshop with and , and it rekindled my passion for drawing.

When I attend these events, I'm torn between intimidation and inspiration. Witnessing the stunning botanical art created by professionals makes me feel like my art is subpar. However, their generosity in sharing their expertise and skills touches my heart, and I'm reminded that their mastery is a result of dedication and love for the craft.

As I flipped through Dianne's sketchbook, which she kindly allowed us to view... 😍💕, I was struck by the intricate details. It's a testament to the awe-inspiring beauty of God's creation. 🥰

This experience has inspired me to draw from real-life specimens instead of photographs, to embrace the process, and to take my time with each layer. I'm learning to face my fears and persevere through the challenging stages of creating art.

Now it's time to fill those sketchbooks! 💕💕💕
