We are excited to announce our next show!

𝒜𝓉 𝒟𝓊𝓈𝓀, 𝒲𝑒 𝒯𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐸𝒶𝓇𝓉𝒽 is a duo show by Carmen Ceniga Prado ( ) and
Arabelle Zhuang ( )

Inspired by the Sanskrit word “godhūli”, which refers to the beautiful illumination of dust particles sweeping into the air as grazing cows return home at sunset, 𝒜𝓉 𝒟𝓊𝓈𝓀, 𝒲𝑒 𝒯𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐸𝒶𝓇𝓉𝒽 denotes an imagery of vastness and stillness, where earth and sky meet at the horizon.

𝒜𝓉 𝒟𝓊𝓈𝓀, 𝒲𝑒 𝒯𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐸𝒶𝓇𝓉𝒽 opens 12 February and runs till 27 February. The show will be open from Thursdays to Sundays 2 - 8pm. Other days and times by appointment.

How might we use games as alternative models for co-constructed, non-hierarchical learning?

This workshop by Hidden Space ( ) uses board games to think through collaboration and community building. How might we use games as alternative models for co-constructed, non-hierarchical learning? Through teaching each other to play a selection of games, we consider how, whilst working within their rule-bound structures, we can create spaces for participation, support, gesture, and knowledge sharing.

This workshop under dis/posit}ions and is part of Singapore Art Week 2022 held from 14 to 23 January 2022 and is also supported by National Arts Council.

Registration is free via eventbrite. Link via our Linktree.

Bridging the mechanical with the organic, the activated with the inert, and systems with chance, syn- presents the prize-winning works for academic excellence in research and practice of LASALLE Alumni Danial Shafiq (BA) ( ) and Victoria Hertel (MA) ( ). Both artists explore new materialities through a shared interest in the vitality of objects encountered in space. Victoria has been invested in the de- and refamiliarization of materials as functions of disruption to our routinized perception of objects, addressing ideas of unsettlement as perspective shifting happenstance. Danial delves into the interaction between humans and objects by studying their form and function, and displacing technology as a means for improvisation and accentuation of the inconspicuous in this network. Together, their works respond to the site and architecture of the gallery in ways that are both sensorial and interconnected.

An initiative by Angie Chan and Nick Davies, the Chan-Davies Art Prize was launched exclusively for all final year students of LASALLE’s BA(Hons) Fine Arts Programme ( ). In 2016, the prize expanded to include MA Fine Arts students. The prize aims to encourage artists in their early career with financial support and exposure.

On chorus - 8 January 2022 (online)

Conducted by Alysha Rahmat, Nurisabella Andrews and Moses Tan

On chorus is part-workshop and part-lecture, that focuses on complaints as a point of departure for conversations. On chorus looks at grouses; at discontents; and draws relations between institutional critique and individualistic efforts. The 45-minute lecture and sharing will be accompanied by a chorus of complaining to make our complaints heard.

On chorus is part of dis/posit}ions which is supported by National Arts Council and will take place as part of Singapore Art Week 2022, held from 14 to 23 January 2022.
