You best believe I’ll be getting the pieces I tried in this video for my end-of-year Japan trip!! 🛫🎌

This collection delivers on its promise of City Classics, mixing everyday practicality with contemporary silhouettes. I personally love playing with the trendy colours (hello butter yellow!) and some of the fun cosy textures.

Whether you’re a cosy gal in Singapore or suiting up for some winter travels ahead, there’s something here for everyone. Stay tuned for the release of the full collection from UNIQLO Singapore!

(Psst... Some of these are already available in-store and online!)

I thought a week in Bangkok with my extroverted, high energy creator friends would be the recharge I needed, buuuut…

Turns out the day that actually saved the trip for me was the one I spent alone. No group schedule, just 2 loose museum plans and a lot of wandering wherever my curiosity took me.

When it came time to sit down with the Thai casting directors and creator I only connected with online before this (hi, kyi ✿!), I actually felt fresh and present, not like I was running on fumes.

If you're an introverted artist and creative like me, disconnecting for a day to get a mental, emotional and creative reset isn't a loss. It's honestly what helped me show up better for everyone I met after.

If you have an introverted friend like me, send this to them as a reminder to take a solo day too (and to my extroverted friends reading this, ily still, okay?) 🫶

Did you know Shakespeare can be performed quite naturally in Singlish? 🇸🇬

My good friend, who’s an absolute Shakespeare nerd, was the one who opened my eyes to this, and now we always end our Shakespeare sessions with a Singlish version. It’s partly for funsies, but messing around like this also helps me discover new things and choices I can make in my performance!

I think sometimes we can take our art too seriously, which it IS, but also it’s important to have fun with our creativity and have a sense of play, y’know?

Anyway, this is clearly not polished or memorised because I was just messing about BUT I think the first half of this monologue is waaay more fun. 🤭 Send this to your friends who need a laugh. Enough shares, and I'll show you the rest of my Singlish Shakespeare monologue!

(Film referenced in reel: Romeo + Juliet (1996), dir. Baz Luhrmann, featuring Claire Danes as Juliet)

I stared at a tree until it started staring back at me.

Week 4 of The Noticing Practice: l👀k like a vandal 🫟. I went on a slow solo walk around my neighbourhood with zero expectations, and of all things, this tree caught my eye. Took a photo to look closer at home, and that's when it hit me, it was staring back.

Turns out, seeing beyond what's literally in front of you is a muscle. Definitely not an easy one for someone who grew up terrified of getting things wrong. But a good one, and a very whimsical one, to keep exercising.

Next time you're on a walk, look twice. You might be surprised what's been there the whole time. (Save this as your reminder 🫡)

The casting brief specifically asked for a self-intro as someone who's friendly but fake. And immediately, I thought of this after watching 베키 REBECCA ROSE 's Toy Story 2 Barbie voice acting reel!

Honestly, I don't like doing self-intros for casting (and everywhere else too tbh). They're important but always feel like a chore, so I took this as my chance to have a bit of fun with it with a random idea heh.

Genuinely though, I really struggle with introducing myself sometimes. If you have any tips on how to make your self-introductions creative and fun, I'd love to know! Please and thank you! 🫰🫰🫰

Turns out imagining a stranger's life says a lot more about you than about them!

Week 3 of The Noticing Practice: Imagine What Someone Is Thinking. kyi ✿ and I picked a stranger each and gave ourselves 10 minutes to write out their inner lives. And somehow we both landed on the same thing without realizing it. We were projecting!

Projection isn't just a psychology buzzword. It's something most of us do more often than we think, especially when we're imagining a story for someone we know nothing about (which, fun fact: is basically what creative work asks of you very often!). But it’s often described in a negative way, as a defense mechanism where you offload feelings you don't want to deal with onto someone else. But there's a version that doesn't get talked about much, and that is ✨positive projection✨, where you project hope and empathy instead of baggage.

This is a tiny creativity exercise from The Art of Noticing but it turned into a bit of a self awareness exercise too (most good creative prompts do that, if you let them).

Try this with a friend if you've got 10 minutes to spare, then compare notes. It might tell you more about you than about the stranger.

I asked myself: what are the oldest & newest things in my house? Never made it to "newest" though (oops 🤷🏻‍♀️)

But my mum and I found her vintage wedding heels, worn exactly once 40 years ago, and kept in mint condition!! How cool is that!

I didn't finish the assignment. But I got a moment with my mum out of this that I wouldn't trade for it (:

This is week 2 of The Noticing Practice, my ongoing (and clearly unserious) attempt to actually pay attention to the world around me, one random exercise at a time.

What's the oldest thing in your house? Bonus points if you had to ask a parent👇

As a young actor, I said yes to a lot of things I shouldn't have said yes to. These moments often put me in an unsafe situation that I was left to deal with alone in the aftermath.

This isn't about criticizing myself or the people involved in these 3 scenarios. We just didn't know any better back then.

Now training to become an intimacy director and coordinator, I've learned what actor safety and real consent on set and in rehearsal should look like. And honestly, it's become a big part of my own healing too.

If this resonates with you, tell me below - I'll be reading every comment 💜
