Hi Spunks -

I am currently in the process of converting my personal page into my one & only Facebook account aka shortly this business page will be deleted.

I created this business page a few years ago to look the part & ultimately to keep my art biz & my personal socials separate, but sadly this page has consistently underperformed. Last year I learned that converting your personal account to "professional mode" was the way to go, an option that was not available when I first set up my biz page.

Ultimately this change is quite frustrating for me as I kiss goodbye to a few years worth of building this page & essentially "starting from scratch" on my personal page. Even though my personal page has been around very many years longer than my business page it was not built on posts about my art.

I really hope you see this message & if you can, please find & follow me on my personal now slash professional page. If you do not decide to follow me there & this is where our journey ends, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your love & support. 💖💖💖Loz

I'm done.

Done with waiting. The studio is still a s**t tip, there's doom piles everywhere, my table is still in pieces in the garage. I have so much decision fatigue & overwhelm in my brain, I have no plans for what I'm even doing here...I.just.have.to.paint.

It's been so long, I'm losing sight of myself & can feel myself slipping into that place where momentum is so long gone I can't remember if I even like to paint, if I'm even good at this???

I'm scrolling SEEK. F**k.

So I've pulled up two stools, I'm sat like a prawn, I'm breaking my back. I'm painting.

Even though I'm out of action this Christmas, it hasn't stopped me doing a bit of crafting ready for next Christmas!!

I've made these cards from using up painting scraps to make triangles/trees & glueing on some shiny stuff I had laying around - et voila, original cards hand-made with love! 🌲💖

This is not the bedding I'll be staging this artwork with, but I concur with the pillow... I like it 👌 ...

I would say that creating a custom piece of artwork, to hang above our bed, is the least of my priorities as we prep the house for sale... buuuuut considering what the last couple weeks have been like, maybe this is actually a top priority.

Amongst all the chaos of the last few weeks it was nice to take a moment to focus on something I enjoy & PLAY. I went into this project with zero plans, I just knew to probably make it green. 💚

Anyhoo, now that is ticked off the to-do list, back to work. There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's weird, I don't really claim to be a landscape artist, but whenever there's leftover paint to use up, what do I paint in my art journal the most? Landscapes.

I think this one has come from my memories of Ireland. Rolling hills, cloudy skies, the constant presence of cool, fresh, dampness.

I love the artwork I do in my journals. It's rarely referenced, mostly imagined & it just evolves from whatever I have at hand. It's true expression, imperfect & impulsive. Its existence, its purpose is nothing more than my relishing play...it represents freedom.
