We have various classes available ranging from many different genres of dances to learn from, such as hip hop, K-Pop and contemporary, and different types of songs to learn, including ballads, beatbox. Customers can look for more information on our official app, grO.Ovy. Users of the application would be able to sign up for their favourite classes which are just one click away. Afterwards, users w

ould be able to attend the class online through our YARs. We are creating a community where Youth-at-risk will feel safe through the means of performing arts. We believe that common interest binds like-minded students together and just by targeting those who have a passion in singing and dancing, we hope to bring joy to them where they can’t find it at home due to complex family issues. For our future aspirations, we want the general public to be more supportive of youth-at-risk and one way to do so is through the use of our app and attending the classes conducted by them.

Our services and products:

Our app provides opportunities for various genres of dances to learn from, ranging from hiphop to K-Pop to contemporary, and different types of songs to learn, including ballads. Each dance/song would take 4 lessons to learn them successfully. Following that, customers are given the opportunity to form a dance/singing crew to perform what they have learned, together with the YAR instructor. All the showcases will be recorded and posted on our youtube channel upon the granting the permission of our customers and YAR instructor.

A unique selling point that our service provides is that it is led by mainly the Youth-At-Risks. By adopting a work integration model, the customers would directly interact with the beneficiaries. Although it would not be a physical meetup, online interaction will still suffice. There is no service in Singapore where the whole process of setting up dates and conducting the classes is done by Youth-At-Risks. Furthermore, the prices of our classes will be very much lower than other classes offered by other businesses/centres like Community Clubs. This is because it will be taught by non-professionals. The reduced cost from hiring a professional will allow us to slash the prices and have an advantage (price-wise) as compared to other more established businesses.

Do you know where our kind-hearted volunteers come from?

GrO.Ovy collaborates with SCAPE ResiDANCEy, a community-driven programme that encourages youth dancers to pay it forward by volunteering as dance instructor assistants at dance classes for youth-at-risk and underprivileged youths. GrO.Ovy provides these volunteers with an outlet to allow dancers to hone their teaching skills and volunteer to teach even more YARs at the same time.

The Community Theatre (TCT) is an initiative by Beyond Social Services that provides the opportunity for our youth-at-risks to co-create a show that engages its audience to reflect on social challenges faced by disadvantaged youths and families.

GrO.Ovy collaborates with Beyond Social Services, a Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) dedicated to help children and youths from less privileged backgrounds also known as Youth-at-Risk. GrO.Ovy aims to inspire these Youth-at-risk by using art therapy to help them to express themselves and ignite their passion in dancing and singing.
