Your artist is 32. Usually I would post this birthday post on my personal account but this year, I felt that I grew the most with Lait Hepines and my sunshines are here to witness that growth. So here I am 🌻
I grew up in a family that doesn’t really celebrate birthdays. We acknowledge the dates (sometimes we forget) and we give presents (at times). This year, I decided to hold a birthday “party” in a form of a workshop.
Instead of inviting my close friends (who are mostly busy with work and personal commitments), I call out to my sunshines who wish to do art with me for The Birthday Workshop. The best part is, is the perfect space for the workshop.
Instead of a birthday cake, I ordered brownies from my favourite smol biz and then I get complementary pistachio madeleines (their newest bake). Their madeleines are not dry or too buttery like the ones I’ve had from established bakeries. My sunshines love it too!
Next, we can’t have a party without coffee! Cold brew by was amazing. I gave away their namecards cause my sunshines were raving bout how good they are. From chocolate to mocha to white and black, they love it. Strong flavour and not too sweet.
Last but not least, the floral arrangement/bouquet by . When I see Fel’s floral arrangements, told myself that I’m definitely getting my wedding bouquet or decoration from her. But you know what, don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon SO I requested Fel to create a bouquet that represents ME. Preserved flowers cause this lady can’t take care of fresh ones. She designed the bouquet, in a mug. A MUG that looks like it has coffee stains on them. The main palette is brown, beige, white (i.e. my favourite palette). To my surprise, she included PURPLE (my current obsession). I’ve always known Fel is a talented florist but she’s a mind reader too apparently.
And a shout out to my family. The parents and sister who are there to hand a helping hand when my 2 arms are not enough 🥹🫶🏼
