🎶 “Our Songs, Our Stories” Xinyao Concert 2026 🇸🇬

What a wonderful evening of music, memories and Singapore stories at Bras Basah Complex, together with Bras Basah Complex and Mediacorp CAPITAL 958 城市频道 !

We are incredibly proud of our performers, who brought beloved songs by Joi Chua, Stefanie Sun and JJ Lin to life through a beautiful blend of violin, guzheng and p**a. 🎻🎼

It was a joy to see our musicians & sutdents come together, share their love for music, and be part of Singapore’s Xinyao culture.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and sang along! ❤️

On 29 August 2026, we had a wonderful sharing session and hands-on workshop as part of Singapore Gallery Month@singaporegallerymonth, together with artist and curator Daniel Chong and artist Adam Shen Xudong.

Through stories, paintings, and poems, we explored the rich traditions and history behind Chinese artworks, giving participants a deeper appreciation of the culture and meaning embedded in each piece.

Participants also had the opportunity to experience Chinese calligraphy firsthand, writing “高瞻远瞩”, a meaningful phrase that embodies the idea of having great vision and foresight in life.

A fulfilling afternoon of art, culture, and connection.

🎨✈️ At Sims Galleria, we believe art is best learned through experience.

Our recent journey to Teochew brought learning beyond the classroom—sketching from life, exploring museums and heritage sites, discovering traditional craftsmanship, and enjoying the local culture together.

These shared experiences not only inspire creativity but also deepen our understanding of art, history, and the world around us.

A glimpse of our first overseas painting session in Swatow, China. We hiked up Hueshi Mountain (礐石山) and painted surrounded by the very scenery before us. Experiencing nature firsthand made the creative process even more meaningful, inspiring everyone to observe, connect, and capture the landscape in our artworks.

Soul-soothing Calligraphy Workshop with SCCCI Youth (.official ) 🖌️

Everyone gained a deeper appreciation for traditional Chinese calligraphy while creating their own personalized calligraphy fan art.

The phrase 「海纳百川」 literally means “the sea embraces hundreds of rivers.” It is an idiom that symbolizes openness, inclusiveness, and the capacity to accept diverse perspectives and talents — just as the ocean welcomes all rivers that flow into it. 🌊

A meaningful session of culture, creativity, and connection. 🤍
