A beautiful start to my dream.
It was exactly a month before that I started my journey to Singapore. A journey worth everything!
Instagram is all about good things, so I decided to share some truths.
A few months ago I saw a post on Instagram that the Apsaras dance company is auditioning dancers for an upcoming production. Without any thought or anticipation, I just applied for it. I received an e-mail that I have been shortlisted and have to be in Chennai for auditions. I started checking for the train tickets and wasn’t able to get any reservations . That day, I remember being so nervous to take an 18 hour long train which was full of uncertainty.
A girl from a middle-class family, without any artistic background, decided to go to Chennai. It was not easy at all.
But once I reached the audition hall, Aravinth sir , Mohan Anna
, Gayathri akka .g3 and Shankari Akka , with their impartial and non-discriminative nature created such a welcoming and happy atmosphere for us to dance.
We 4 girls got selected from India as a part of ‘Arisi ‘ and we started rehearsing in Chennai for a few days. I used to travel for 2 hours to reach the rehearsing hall and learned how to travel by bus in Chennai.
Teaching, learning, travelling and practising… doing all these things together was hectic sometimes but as I said, it was definitely worth everything.
Going to a foreign country and making it your home for few days was exciting and a little scary sometimes . Managing classes in the morning, rehearsing for a full day and having fun with friends in the little time in between was the only schedule.
I always feel grateful to the universe for gifting me with such beautiful souls in my life.
I'll always be grateful for having you guys in my life.g3 .nivi

The Esplanade stage, lights, music, costume, rehearsals, makeup and everything about this production is like a dream for me.
An Experience for life!
