Conceived by a creative team of non-linear-thinkers and prominent theatre practitioners, the story for this site-specific immersive-experiential murder-mystery will unfold in different rooms within a building, letting you, the audience, exercise both mind and feet (as well as fingers now, in the digital era), as you move around trying to solve the mystery. This experiential murder-mystery, created by BODY X Productions, is more than just audience observation, it is participatory - solving the mystery by being part of it and finding out , and , all by yourself or with your friends and family. You also have the choice to decide which character or whose's storyline to follow during the show, and use whatever clues you had discovered to help form your own judgement by piecing together the puzzle pieces as you experience the different scenes. Suspense will linger in the air as you explore the shadowy space for a glimpse of the dark secrets held by those suspicious characters. Will you move behind-the-scene or within-the-scene?

A fellow theatre practitioner - one we love dearly - Neo Haibin was invited to write an article for Taiwan's industrial publication PAR Magazine on Singapore's online theatre activities during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you Haibin for highlighting BODY X The Culprit, loving it and introducing us to Taiwanese readers and audience!
梁海彬受邀为台湾PAR杂志书写新加坡在疫情下的线上剧场活动,用了不少笔墨重点介绍《BODY X》!
有机会的话,也真想把演出带到台湾去!
谢谢海彬的用心。就是这么爱你。

Rachel Yeoh from The Vibes in Penang, Malaysia, doesn’t speak Mandarin but fully enjoyed herself watching our show.
And she was so interested and invested (stole this word from her!) that she wanted to find out more with this interview even after the run has ended.
Thank you so much for your love and support Rachel!

Can we say… no reviewer understands us better than Bakchormee Bakchormeeboy?
Really.
Not just because he has been at all BODY X performances - 2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 - but that he gets the spirit of it. Pun intended.
You had me at “the appeal of BODY X isn’t the reveal – it’s the thrill of the chase”. Thank you for knowing us so well. 😍 你懂我们。🥰

“Watching BODY X The Culprit for the second time then, and still feeling that rush of excitement, is testament to how much thought and effort the team has put into effectively transposing the live experience to the digital medium, and the sheer quality of such a production.”

“As an online experience, BODY X The Culprit immerses us well in the story. The cast is a highlight, with each actor committing to their roles, keeping it naturalistic without resorting to overacting so we believe fully in their predicaments.”

“Even with a deluge of digital mysteries that have emerged over the last year, BODY X The Culprit still stands out as one of the best in the business with its originality, its attention to gameplay, and its ability to keep us engaged throughout.”

A digital whodunnit that captures the thrill of live theatre. One of the most unique aspects of live theatre that differentiates it from film, is how no matter how many times you watch it, there& #8…

When BODY X The Culprit was staged in Sep 2020, we played to Singapore audience via Zoom for the first time.

Then we performed for Ministry of Education’s Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme in May 2021 and we were so excited to meet close to 1800 teenage students, our youngest group of audience since 2014.

Now that we are staging BODY X THE Culprit this month at George Town Festival (based in Penang), we are seeing Malaysian audience at our shows as well as theatre-lovers from all around the world!

Thank you for bringing us to different places and meeting so many interesting people!

Theatre has no boundaries - language, country or level of appreciation.
Here's a glowing review by Kuala Lumpur's leading arts website BASKL, written in Malay.
TERIMA KASIH! Thank you for loving our show and having enjoyed yourself being part of it too!

"BODY X The Culprit offers a show that combines mystery and audience interaction, leaving us captivated and wondering about the real ending till the very last moment."
"The success of this show rests on the intelligent use of technology and the ability of the creative team to bring to life the dimensional effect of physical theatre space."
"In addition to a well-established script and an efficient cast, the Police Inspector also helps to explain the context and guides you along."
"The movement of the camera gives the audience a player-like perspective like in a role-playing video game, where we feel ourselves moving into each space and silently witnessing the performance."
"BODY X The Culprit's skillful theatre-making and effective use of technology, combines together like graceful dance choreography, promising you an unforgettable theatrical experience."
