It’s always different to paint a selfportrait. You want to be true to yourself but still make it real. Can’t paint it to pretty but the risk is that you enhance your flaws.
This is a work in progress, for sure.

This will be my office at my new studio!
Now I’m playing around with colour combinations.
The room will be filled with artbooks, a desk, my computer, plants, an armchair and just a lot of inspiration.

This is one of my favourite portraits I’ve made. I used the raw linen as part of the skin and it was a bit of a struggle to paint on.
But I like the outcome.
