takes place at Regina Theatre, Uppsala.

is a hub of shows and workshops, a natural meeting place for improvisers from around the world that wants to come together in fun and improv. With workshops during the day and shows in the evenings, all located in scenic Uppsala, a historic and cultural part of Sweden, is an incredible experience.

collaboration with Reginateatern and support from Uppsala Kommun, Nordisk Kulturfond and Region Uppsala.

Thank you for SWIMP2026
To everyone who came, performed, taught, worked, or simply shared this time with us – thank you for making this festival what it is.
For us, SWIMP is about creating a space that feels safe, fun, exiting and relaxed. A place where people can be themselves, take risks, and connect. A place for great art, big mistakes and big successes! This year, you all made that happen – whether you were a first-timer, a returner, our youngest or oldest improviser yet. You brought energy, openness, joy – and you filled the rooms with moments we’ll never forget.

We’ll miss the monsters’ mating calls, the overflowing workshops, that multilingual opera that had the theatre bar staff trembling.

The energy here is something you just had to experience – it’s impossible to fully recreate or describe to someone who wasn’t part of it (sorry for the total FOMO vibes; we want everyone to be there next time! – yes, Jens, especially you, after missing karaoke
