"I still don't know what to answer when people ask me if I like Umeå. It depends, you know... Sometimes I see something really special in Umeå that makes me feel like I am totally in love with this city. I feel like there is a big potential in Umeå, that it can grow and bloom with just some help and inspiration from the right people. And sometimes, during those cold dark nights (well...and days)...when I see people with their problems here (lack of job, lack of light, cold, depression...) I don't feel that vibe anymore. So, it depends... But I'm trying to learn how to love Umeå."

"The calm and quite winter, the fine fresh snow that feels like sand between your fingers. The cold wind touching my skin. The sound of the snow under my shoe sole when I walk. The long nights and moon size illusion.

The sun coming up from where the snow seems to meet the sky over the lake. The endless white cloak covering the fields, parks, infrastructures and streets. The northern lights. And when the polar lights are off and the winter is over, the long summer begins, bringing eternal sunshines."

A winedeer in its natural habitat, roaming around Umeå, drinking cheap wine from Systembolaget. Often spotted in hangout spots such as Nydalasjön. Deer is hand drawn and digitally coloured.

Fika (fee-kah), the Swedish daily routine of drinking coffee and eating cinnamon buns. Sweden isn't the only country with strong coffee drinking traditions. Coffee is loved all over the Nordics. Finland tops the charts with over 10kg of coffee consumed per person every year. It is the dark liquid that pulls the Nordic people through dark winters. This collection is in honour of that dark, tasty bean juice.

"What I like about Umeå is the atmosphere due to so many students and internationals you can meet next door. One of the best places in Umeå is the Nydala lake which is awesome for barbecues, swimming and ice skating. The biking paths are perfect and they reach everything. Other highlights for me were Bränbollsyran and seeing the northern lights!"
