Vitlycke-CPA is a place for investigation and creation, for research, training and education. A platform where artists can meet, work and discuss.

A place where national and international companies are able to concentrate on their creations, in a calm environment in the middle of nature, detached from the rhythm of the city. Vitlycke-CPA is a place where rehearse and create, but also where to present both informal showings and finished works, open to an audience. The studio is 16 m long x 14 m wide and 5.40 high and it can be transformed it into a black box -with black sliding curtains, black dance linoleum, bars for lightning, light&sound equipment and a movable tribune for the audience. Vitlycke-CPA dedicates time to project focusing on education. The yearly program includes workshops; intensive summer school and intensive coaching projects, with selected groups of participants. Guest teachers, choreographers, theatre directors and dramaturges are invited to hold workshops and to share their reflections and experiences on the creative process. Vitlycke-CPA organizes also residencies/projects related to visual arts, music & film, martial arts, new circus, youth, literature, new media&internet communication. Vitlycke -CPA is based in Tanumshede (Sweden). The location is quite ideal, being almost right in the middle between Oslo and Goteborg, in the country side, just beside the Vitlycke Museum, in a UNESCO protected area, visited for it's famous Bronze Age stone carvings.

Ett ljud, en röst, en plats, ett flyktigt ögonblick. Vad är det som stannar kvar hos oss, och hur förändras minnet med tiden?
Memory House är en kontrollerad improvisation, formad av år av lyssnande och utforskande. Med utgångspunkt i Polinas egna ljudminnen – fragment av gester, texturer, platser och röster – återbesöker och omformar verket dessa i en gestaltning som aldrig är helt låst. Verket innehåller ett fragment av ”Sailor Walz” med Tonbruket.

A sound, a voice, a place, a fleeting moment. What stays with us, and how does memory transform over time?
Memory House is a controlled improvisation shaped by years of listening and exploration. Drawing on Polina’s own sound memories — fragments of gestures, textures, places and voices — the performance revisits and reshapes them in a form that is never entirely fixed. The work features a fragment of Sailor Walz by Tonbruket.

En omslutande och deltagarbaserad resa genom berättelser, familjefotografier och vittnesmål om Rysslands brott mot mänskligheten. Med utgångspunkt i myten om Minotauros konfronterar föreställningen det pågående våldet mot Ukraina och bjuder in publiken att navigera genom en labyrint av minnen, rädsla och motstånd.

What happens when the air itself becomes a force that shapes our bodies?

Inspired by Saharan dust storms travelling across borders and oceans, Calima explores breath, movement and the invisible connections between us. Through choreography, sound and light, Anna Borràs creates an atmospheric landscape where dust enters the body, memory and imagination.

A performance about vulnerability, transformation and how we remain connected when visibility fades.

Calling emerging dance artists: DancEUA Residency 2027

Autumn: 15.11 – 05.12.2027

Vitlycke – CPA invites emerging dance artists from Ukraine, Sweden, Croatia, Romania and Hungary to apply for the DancEUA Artist-in-Residence programme 2027, part of the Creative Europe co-funded DancEUA project.

In 2027, Vitlycke- CPA will host two three-week residencies, each welcoming up to three dance projects – one artist from Ukraine and two from the other partner countries.

Welcome back to Vitlycke - CPA, Tevin Redvall!

We’re happy to welcome back artist and choreographer Tevin Redvall to Vitlycke – CPA with “The Garden”.

As one of this year’s artists in Next Move, the Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival’s initiative focusing on street dance, Tevin will premiere The Garden at Stora Teatern in 2026, co-produced by Stora Teatern.

“The Garden” is a three-part dance performance exploring the human experience and our inner journey through development, breakdown and integration.

Because growth is rarely a straight line. We move in spirals – sometimes forward, sometimes back – learning, falling, returning and gradually integrating our experiences into a more conscious whole.

We look forward to having Tevin back at Vitlycke - CPA.
