Exactly a week remaining for ‘Odeysseus på språng’, a 42 kilometre-long performance!
:
Beginning at the birth-place of Teater Slava in Järna, the performance involves running to, or rowing to specific locations in the beautiful landscape of Sörmländ, performance of parts of the Greek epic poem Odeyssey, concluding at the current home of Teater Slava in Huddinge, celebrating 25 years of the fantastic theatre and it’s actors!

The public is invited to these locations to partake in the performance. Check out the website of Teater Slava for more details.

Fågeln som flög mot solen (The bird that flew towards the sun)

Click your tongues, ruffle your feathers, scratch your paws because we’re all animals and birds travelling across the world, telling our stories of adventure, fear, courage, and friendship!

Yesterday, Ulrika Larsen and I began working on our new, exciting, and colorful children’s production aimed at kids between 3 and 6 years. Set in a library environment, the show encourages reading and curiosity through movements, oral narratives, and sounds.
:
Production-lab is underway, filled with ideas and possibilities, and I thoroughly enjoy my long train rides where I get to zone-out and focus, and catch up on A LOT of reading!

Kalaa Kathaa | Art Stories was one of the few creative startups that was chosen to speak at Smash-Up Startup Inception, an event by Subtopia’s Klump and Drivhuset Stockholm.
:
It was an important event where representatives from the Kommun and educational institutions like Stockholm University and folkhögskolas (colleges) met creative companies and discussed their works, and participated in an Espresso Workshop formulating problems, analyzing them, ‘stomping and brewing’, and finding solutions with the objective of implementing them in our own ways through our initiatives at the level of the municipality, schools, high schools, colleges and universities, and through individual organizations.

Identity
:
It had been quite a while since we thought of forming a company and having an identity different from our individual one as Ipsh*ta and Sreehari. A lot of thought went into understanding the whats, whys, and hows. Thus was born Kalaa Kathaa | Art Stories - where stories are ‘told’ aesthetically.
:
We then needed a visual identity and got in touch with this young, beautiful, dynamic, extremely talented and creative young lady who asked us so many questions, it made us do even more thinking.
:
It was a moment with such mixed emotions when this young lady presented to us our logo, carefully teased out of all our conversations; it was a design we always wanted but never knew we did!
:
Though she’ll always be my ‘kid’, we’re thrilled to have visual communications designer and ‘awesome sauce person’ Anupama Rao’s design as our identity! We love you!
