Together with MDT, we are proudly presenting Lustholmen 2022! Lustholmen is a Stockholm festival of dance, choreography, music and arts celebrating the start of summer with lust, life, and light on June 1-19.

Since last year, Lustholmen is a festival made by MDT and Anrikningsverket. This year, Lustholmen is extended into a dazzling three-week programme of dance and choreography, with performances in and outdoors, on the island and inside the theatre. We’ve joined forces with MDT to curate a diverse musical program, also interlacing with Within Practice—a festival for contemporary dance practices, workshops, talks and explorative sessions taking place during the last week of Lustholmen.

The musical program includes performances by Eli Keszler, Canilla, Your Planet Is Next, Golin, Oli XL, and bas bleau, alongside works and presentations by Ofelia Jarl Ortega, Stina Nyberg, Liz Kinosh*ta, Linda Blomqvist, Malin Elgán, Erik Linghede & Yared Tilahun Cederlund, Bambam Frost, Alma Söderberg, Andros Zins-Browne and Tiran Willemsee.

We were and still are truly moved by this evening and so grateful to be given the opportunity to make it all come together. It was a much-needed break from pandemic worries and a strong reminder of why we do what we do. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, the amazing Astrid Sonne and Sonja Tofik, and the lovely people at ccap. We hope to see you all again as soon as possible!

In a collaboration between UP NODE network and CTM Festival, six concerts with Nordic artists are taking place at the forthcoming edition of the Berlin festival. We're proud to present Maria W Horn in concert as our contribution.

Up Node x CTM Festival presents

Together with CTM Festival, Up Node will present a selection of experimental artists from the Nordic countries throughout the festival. The six diverse performances span the mysterious, dark, selection of electro new wave from the finish DJ Kristiina Männikkö, to Maria W Horn’s haunted modulars and skillfully engineered intensity. The Danish composer Sofie Birch will be performing at MONOM in 4DSOUND, while Sami indigenous vocal traditions will be presented in a collaboration between Maja S.K. Ratkje and Katarina Barruk with visuals made by Matti Aiko. Both dj. flugvel og geimskip and Vanligt Folk are sure to deliver an eccentric performance on stage. With this selection CTM and Up Node present the Northern hemisphere’s great variety in music and sound.

”In the intersection between live sets, choreography and multimedia installation, we want to introduce a group of artists who bridge the minimal and experimental DIY-scene and the heavier art and performance institutions. What is shared between the two contexts is the artistic research into the boundaries of the very practice, presentation and reception of each artform.”
