Stockholm Art Week A celebration of Stockholm’s vibrant art scene. Stockholm Art Week is an annual event showcasing Sweden as an art destination and Stockholm as a city for art.

Leading institutions, museums, fairs, and other participants will arrange special events during the week.

Stockholm Art Week 14 - 19 May 2024. Stockholm Art Week includes fairs, exhibits, and art events all held during one week. The art fair - Market Art Fair will be arranged during this period. Many of the city’s museums, institutions, and art exhibition venues will arrange special programs and art openings. Let’s round off the openings in Östermalm’s Gallery District together at Teatergrillen, with drinks by Campari.

Teatergrillen has long been a meeting place for artists and is now pleased to present works by Gustaf von Arbin.

Gustaf von Arbin (b. 1982) is a Swedish multidisciplinary artist based in Milan. His practice spans painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, film, and installation, and has been exhibited internationally in Stockholm, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles. Working intuitively and often in response to specific places, he explores memory, perception, and the relationship between the familiar and the imagined.

ART IN THE STOCKHOLM METRO

Often described as the world’s longest art exhibition, Stockholm’s metro stretches across 110 kilometres and brings art into everyday life. Discover permanent artworks at 94 stations, as well as Konstväxlingar – temporary exhibitions by contemporary artists presented at seven stations.

Some highlights from the city’s most iconic stations:

Solna Centrum — Art by Karl-Olov Björk & Anders Åberg.
Odenplan — Life Line by David Svensson, alongside a temporary exhibition by Kayo Mpoi.
T-Centralen — Art by Per Olof Ultvedt.
Gärdet — a temporary exhibition by Johannes G. Arvidsson
Östermalmstorg — Art by Siri Derkert.

In October, a new series of Konstväxlingar will open, featuring contemporary artists including Jan Håfström, David Shrigley, Outi Pieski, Ludvig Helin and Camila Manuelsdotter Pino.
